🌿 MEET DR SUMMERA MUNIR 🌿

We’re pleased to introduce Dr Summera Munir, a highly experienced GP who has been practising medicine since 2010.

Dr Munir brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in all aspects of General and Family Medicine and has worked within our local community for many years.

👩‍⚕️ Dr Munir has special interests in:
• Female Health
• Geriatrics & Aged Care
• Children’s Health
• Obstetrics

Dr Munir also speaks Urdu, helping her provide comfortable and culturally sensitive care to a wider range of patients.

Outside of medicine, Dr Munir enjoys spending time with her young family. When she’s not caring for patients at Epic Medical Centre Werribee, she can often be found tending to residents in Aged Care.

🩺 GP MYTH MONDAY

MYTH: “Antibiotics will fix my cold.” ❌

FACT: Most colds are caused by viruses, not bacteria — so antibiotics won’t make them better. 💙

Taking antibiotics when you don’t need them can contribute to antibiotic resistance, making antibiotics less effective when they’re genuinely needed.

🤧 For most colds:
✔️ Rest
✔️ Stay hydrated
✔️ Give your body time to recover

If your symptoms are severe, getting worse, or you’re unsure what treatment you need, talk to your GP.
