A huge thank you to everyone who came along to support our Beanies for Brain Cancer fundraiser yesterday. Thanks to your generosity, we raised $220 through our sausage sizzle and the beautiful handmade jewellery and gifts created by the people we support.

It was wonderful to see so many new faces in our hub and to watch everyone come together for such a great cause. We’re incredibly proud of the people we support and our amazing team for making the day such a success 💙

A portion of all proceeds will be donated to the Mark Hughes Foundation, with the remaining funds going back into supporting our day program participants and activities.

What an incredible Careers Day! 🎉

A huge thank you to the team from Blue Gum Men’s Shed, the crew from Wallsend Fire Station, and our very own support worker Brett, who shared his experience as a qualified professional chef. 👨‍🚒👨‍🍳🛠️

Our participants loved hearing about the different career paths, asking questions, and learning what a day in the life looks like across a range of professions. It was fantastic to see everyone so engaged, inspired, and willing to give new things a go!

Thank you to everyone who helped make the day such a success. We loved seeing so many smiling faces and can’t wait to see everyone at the next one 🤍

What a busy and productive week we’ve had at the hub! 🌟

On Tuesday, our Active Lifestyle group got moving with some resistance band exercises before having plenty of fun with a game of Active Bingo. 💪🎉

Yesterday, everyone enjoyed getting creative with sewing and craft activities, showcasing some fantastic skills and creativity. 🧵✨

Today, we’re excited to be hosting our Careers Day, where participants have the opportunity to learn about a range of different professions and explore future possibilities. 👩‍🚒👮‍♂️👩‍⚕️

It’s been wonderful to see everyone getting involved, trying new things, building skills, and most importantly, having fun along the way 🤍

🚀 Careers Day is coming to ACS!

Today, our participants spent the morning creating beautiful affirmation jars from scratch 🎨✨

Everyone painted and decorated their own jars before filling them with positive affirmations, encouraging words, and reminders of the things they want to believe about themselves 💛

The afternoon was spent making friendship bracelets, sharing laughs, connecting with one another, and simply enjoying each other’s company. It was such a lovely day watching everyone join in, support each other, and build meaningful connections in such an inclusive and welcoming space.

Moments like these are what Craft & Connect is all about 🌼

Another fun-filled Wednesday at our Day Program 💙

Today was all about creativity, connection and confidence as our participants created their own vision boards, enjoyed a dance session, and wrapped up the afternoon with plenty of laughs during bingo 🎨🕺🎱

We’re so proud to provide a space where everyone feels included, supported and encouraged to be themselves. Seeing the friendships, smiles and confidence grow each week is what it’s all about ✨

Thursday Socials done right 🎨✨

Yesterday the crew headed out to the beautiful Maitland Regional Art Gallery for a wander through the galleries, plenty of laughs, and some creative inspiration… followed by the most important part of the day, a stop at the local hot bread shop for lunch 🥖😂

We love seeing friendships grow, confidence build, and participants getting out into the community trying new things 💛

Wednesdays at The Hub = creativity, connection & plenty of laughs 🎨🧵✨

Today for Craft & Connect, our participants spent the day sewing their own tote bags, painting, colouring in, drawing, and most importantly, building friendships along the way 💛

We love seeing new skills develop, confidence grow, and genuine connections being made each week. We also love collaborating with other providers to create inclusive, social spaces where everyone feels welcome 🤝
