I don’t have insulin resistance PCOS/PMOS so why did I spend 2 weeks wearing a continuous glucose monitor (CGM)?

Because a fasting blood test is only a snapshot.

With PMOS insulin can influence ovarian androgen production (despite normal insulin) and I wanted to understand how my body was responding to the foods I was eating throughout the day, overnight, after exercise and with changes in sleep.

And I learnt a LOT.

What I loved most about wearing a CGM was getting feedback in real time. I could see a response, make small adjustments, trial something different the next day and see what changed. It helped me connect the data with how I was feeling and learn what worked best for MY body.

And that’s exactly how I like to approach working with clients with PMOS. It’s not about a specific protocol for a diagnosis, it’s about understanding YOUR individual body and what works best for YOU based on your data, how you feel, your drivers, your lifestyle and so much more.

You deserve individualised support that’s right for you, not for your ‘diagnosis’ 🤍

My current obsession - Organic Medjool dates filled with peanut butter or tahini mix and a drizzle of 85-90% dark chocolate, sea salt and cinnamon 🤤

I was pleasantly surprised when this little snack didn’t impact my blood sugars all too much while wearing my CGM so it’s here to stay and I’m quite happy about it 😌

It’s now a go-to when I feel like something sweet (which let’s be honest, is quite often thank you pregnancy hormones and increased hunger 😅).

Save this one for later ✨

Insulin resistance is one of the most common drivers of PMOS/PCOS, but often the most misunderstood.

Many only think it matters if blood glucose is ‘high’ on a blood test or they have diabetes. The reality is, even subtle changes in insulin and blood sugar can influence hormone production, ovulation, and many of those PMOS symptoms such as acne, hirsutism, hair loss and irregular cycles.

Not to mention, it’s not just what you eat that impacts insulin.

There is some good news though, it’s often one of the easiest PMOS types to correct and improve once we know your individual drivers.

If you want to learn more about PMOS and natural support options, I have a free Understand your PMOS resource you can download via the link in my bio or by sending me a DM 🤍

Your acne, irregular or missing periods, weight gain, anxiety, excess hair growth, fertility struggles or fatigue aren’t random… they’re clues.

And until you understand what’s driving them, it’s easy to waste time on advice, medications that just suppress or supplements that were never right for your body.

That’s why I created my FREE Understand your PMOS guide.

Inside I’ll walk you through the 6 foundational steps to help you uncover what’s driving your symptoms and where to focus first, without the overwhelm.

Sometimes IVF is necessary.
But often, there’s more to explore first 🤍

Alongside standard fertility investigations, I use functional testing to look for deeper answers that are often overlooked. Depending on your history and symptoms, this may include comprehensive hormone testing, gut and vaginal microbiome mapping, nutrient testing, and environmental toxin or heavy metal screening.

Because understanding why you’re struggling to conceive can help guide a more personalised path forward ✨

Tracking your cycle using BBT and cervical mucus is one of the best ways to understand what’s happening with your hormones each month.

It can help you:
✨ Confirm if and when you’re ovulating.
✨ Understand your unique cycle patterns.
✨ Pick up clues that your hormones may need a little extra support.
✨ Feel more connected to your body instead of guessing what’s going on.

This is your go-to guide for getting started, so save it for when you need it. 🤍

If you’d like to make cycle tracking effortless, send me a DM with the word TRACK and I’ll share my favourite hormone-tracking gadget that I personally have used and love. It takes the hassle out of remembering to check your temperature every morning (because let’s be honest… it’s way too easy to forget 😅).

And if your cycle feels “off”, whether it’s irregular, painful, missing, or you’re simply not sure you’re ovulating, I’d love to help you get to the root cause.
