Good health and happiness begin in the kitchen. Welcome to The Green Gourmet

We believe that good health and happiness begin in the kitchen.

So we want to get you back into the kitchen and excited about what you're cooking for dinner tonight (and every other meal this week). You'll be amazed by the fabulous food you can create when you let fresh, local, seasonal produce take centre-stage. Your body will thank you too. Join a cooking class in our Hawthorn kitchen or at Bottega Rotolo in Norwood, South Australia. Or give yourself the ult

imate gift of a cooking retreat at The Seventh Seal Luxury Retreat in Bali. If we've done our job, you'll go home feeling energised and inspired to break new ground in your own kitchen —with a big smile on your face while you're at it.

Looking forward to the BEST day with our lucky ticket holders on Sunday. 🤩

What happens when the sun-drenched flavours of the Mediterranean meet the fresh winter produce of the Fleurieu Peninsula?

In this special Fleurieu Food Festival workshop, we’ll explore the delicious connection between these regions — bringing inspiration home from my recent travels through Turkey, Malta and Portugal, and reimagining their vibrant dishes using the best seasonal ingredients from the Fleurieu.

While separated by thousands of kilometres, these regions share much in common: a love of simple food made well, meals built around peak seasonal produce, and a way of eating that celebrates slowing down and gathering around the table.

Through a mix of hands-on and demonstration cooking, we’ll prepare and enjoy a generous Mediterranean-inspired long lunch, including mezzes, warming vegetable-focused main dishes and indulgent desserts. Learn the stories behind the recipes, and leave with fresh inspiration for winter cooking that is both nourishing and full of flavour — bringing a little sunshine to your winter table.

Just in the nick of time … Announcing two all-new workshops for 2026 + Green Gourmet gift vouchers.

🥕Fast & Fresh – Sunday 22 March
A joyful, flavour-packed workshop focused on fast, fresh wholefood meals that make answering “What’s for dinner tonight?” a whole lot easier. Expect clever salads that can double as mains, a modern twist on Arabic favourite mejadra (lentils and rice, but not as you know them!), a decadent new way with halloumi — plus some irresistibly delicious baking just in time for Easter.

Have you become sober-curious lately too? It’s all about taking a flexible, conscious approach to what, when and how you drink and exploring alcohol-free alternatives as a way to enjoy better sleep, clarity, physical and mental health.

Australia really is leading the way with some fabulously tasty alcohol-free drinks that anyone can enjoy. We’ve been tasting our way through a huge selection this year, and just in time for the festive season, here’s my line-up of favourites …

1. First up, NON, which is on a mission to shape the future of non-alcoholic drinks, and a serious wine alternative. NON is my first choice when I’m taking a bottle to a friend’s for dinner or having people at our place. I jump for joy when I see it on a restaurant drinks list. Makes me feel special. Which number? I love all of them – and I suggest you try them all too! Just like wine, different NONs will complement different foods.

2. Awesome Source makes wildly delicious alcohol-free G&Ts. As awesome (of course!) owner Frances says, ‘makes not drinking booze a real damn pleasure’. Love it! This is my go-to for parties and BBQs and Friday nights on the deck.

3. ETCH are refreshing sugar-free sparklers infused with native Australian ingredients. My fave is the Davidson Plum & Strawberry Gum, which is delicately pink and naturally sweet. Great on a hot day and to replace your usual rosé with a mid-week dinner.

4. DAYSE call their drinks ‘functional spritzers’, with plant-based extracts designed to calm, soothe or uplift depending on the flavour. We like ‘Easing’ best: like a ginger beer with benefits. My Dave loves his DAYSE!

5. Newcomer BTNC is a range of small-batch botanic sodas created by Alma Pasalic who looks after the Restaurant Botanic’s highly-acclaimed non-alcoholic drinks program. All the ingredients are hand-foraged by Alma with 3 delicious flavours. (Garden of Health Tonic not pictured because I drank it all!).

Let me know which one you’re curious to try first.

P.S. A selection of these drinks is available at all Green Gourmet workshops. 🌿
