What a week it has been at The Academy. My heart is full, grateful and at times still wondering if this is actually my life!

This week started with a new intake of students. Each student that says yes, not only to The Australian Holistic Academy but yes to themselves and their dreams, brings me so much joy. I personally welcome the students, it is not an automated email but something I personally press send on, followed by a process that joins them to the community of students.

This week saw two students complete a milestone in their students, completing their meditation teacher training before continuing their path towards becoming Holistic Counsellors.

Today I took the first step in welcoming another assessor into the academy.

Sometimes I need to pinch myself to remind myself this is part of my life. I am not sharing this to brag but to share what is possible when you follow your heart, when you say YES to an opportunity that feels a little scary but is so RIGHT. When you follow your intuition, your dreams and know that is part of your BIG WHY!

So thank you to the current and future students, graduates and the people that encouraged and supported me. Forever grateful.

Today we welcome the new intake of students. Students that have said yes to learning, to being able to support healing and help to others, to making a difference.

Students have also said yes to their personal growth and development journey as well.

The courses provide also provide students with the opportunity for self reflection which always sees some level of growth, understanding or healing to take place.

I love being part of this journey and it's honour to walk this path with the new students joining the Australian Holistic Academy today!

This week saw a beautiful student graduate our Meditation Teacher Training course. She is going to integrate the skills that she learnt into her existing business. I know that her clients, old & new, will benefit greatly from what she has learnt.

"One of the biggest things I have gained from this course so far is a much deeper understanding of why I feel so drawn to this work. It has really confirmed for me that the meditation side is what I love most and what feels the most aligned. I have loved learning about the different kinds of meditation, including guided meditation, breathwork, visualisation, mindfulness and grounding. It has shown me that meditation is not about having to sit still and “empty your mind”, and that there are so many different ways to support different people.

The part I have found most interesting has been learning about the nervous system and the fight, flight, freeze and fawn responses. It makes so much sense to me, both from my own experience and from the people I work with. I can see how many people are stuck in survival mode, and how much gentle practices like meditation, breathing and grounding can help them feel calmer, safer and more connected.

I have also enjoyed the chair yoga and movement side of things. It reminded me that it does not have to be complicated. Even simple movement and breathing can help people reconnect with their body and release stress.

Overall, this course has helped me feel clearer and more confident about the direction I want to take. I can really see how everything I am learning will flow into the work I already do with meditation, the nervous system and my one-on-one sessions."

Today is intake day for the next round of students starting their journey into new knowledge, learning and into a career that is purpose-led.

I am always excited to welcome new students to the academy, it is where the path begins for them and I get to support and witness their learning and personal growth during their studies. It's such an honour to be part of this period.

I froze when my reiki client asked for tools on how to support herself through what was causing the inner imbalance that brought her for a energy healing that day.

I was a trained and experience energy healer, Master level, with in depth training. However that training didn't provide me with the tools, knowledge and experience to support the core reason (root cause) to why people's energy was off balance, not flowing and "blocked".

I took and take this work seriously. I understand that this is someone's life and it needs to be handled correctly. I was aware that it is possible to set people back, to re-trigger and so in that moment I said "sorry I don't" because I would prefer to admit that I don't know than to accidentally cause harm.

This experience is what led to my additional studies, so that I could support my clients at a deeper level, so that I could say YES when my clients asked for additional help. It led to me saying yes to opening The Australian Holistic Academy so that I could help others in the same position that I had found myself in, to be able to train holistic professionals to provide deeper support to their clients.

If you have stayed this long, I am guessing something similar has happened to you. This is your sign to take the leap into additional studies so you can provide the level of support you are being called to provide.

Today we welcomed a new intake of students. I love these days, the start of such a wonderful experience for a new set of students and future change makers.

Learning and growth comes with our courses, not only from a professional perspective but also personally. Each student experiences a level of growth, awareness, healing or expansion as they walk the path of learning to support others.

I am so honoured to be able to do this work. It is a blessing and each new student reminds why I moved into this space. It connects with my purpose and the legacy I want to leave behind.

Bet you weren't expecting that, neither were our students!

One of the things that keeps surprising our students is the personal growth that they experience as they move through their selected course. This happens time and time again and with each course that we offer.

I love working through the student assessments and seeing their comments about understanding something in themselves, realising a limiting belief, or how they feel more relaxed and so much more.

Our courses are designed that way, because it is the lived experience and change that helps you connect with your clients in a deeper way. You can empathise, understand and come from a more grounded place. This helps you become a great teacher, coach or holistic counsellor.

It's a bittersweet experience seeing my students graduate.

I get so much joy out of watching them grow, hearing about their experiences and witnessing the learning that takes place, yet there is a little bit of sadness as I finish their final assessment, send their congratulations email and organise their certificate to be sent out. These things are done with so much joy and excitement but the sadness of something ending is there too.

I know that they are off to start their new career or to add to their existing business. That they will make an impact and change peoples lives with the work that they will do. And this is the reason that I started the academy, for the larger ripple effect. Knowing that each student that comes into the academy has the opportunity to impact the lives of many. That I am part of something bigger than me and the work that I do in my coaching business. I can see the flow on effect that comes with teaching others to support others. But I still get a little sad that I don't get to witness so closely the changes that come after graduation.

This role and opportunity gives me so much fulfilment so I will take a little sadness as each student moves onto their next step in impacting the lives of others. And sometimes I am lucky enough to see the students come back to further their studies so they can provide deeper support and change.

So today I acknowledge the three new meditation teachers that are entering the world and ask you to congratulation them as well.
