Have you ever wondered why you can’t sit still?
Why you’re always moving, fidgeting, jumping from one thing to the next?

Sure, sometimes it can be things like ADHD or a busy mind…
But there’s another possibility we don’t talk about enough.

What if your body learned to live in fight‑or‑flight long before you ever realised it?
What if your nervous system has been trained to stay on high alert — always scanning, always bracing, always preparing for the “next thing” you might have to defend yourself from?

And then, when you finally get a quiet moment…
Can you actually be in it?
Or does your mind race so fast that peace feels impossible?

Just for a moment, consider this:

If you felt truly safe — in the chair you’re sitting in, in the room you’re in, with the person or pet beside you — would your body soften?
Would your breath deepen?
Would your muscles finally let go?

Try it.
Just one minute.
Sit, breathe, and let your body remember what safety feels like.
Stay there until you feel that familiar restlessness creeping back in… and that’s okay.
Next time, let the calm last a little longer.
Teach your body, slowly and gently, that it doesn’t have to be on guard anymore.

We all deserve to feel safe in our own space.
We all deserve moments where our spirit can take over and our nervous system can rest.

When was the last time you felt truly safe?
Maybe today can be the start of finding that feeling again.

✨ Fill your own cup first. ✨

We can spend so much of our time pouring into everyone else — supporting, caring, giving, listening, showing up… until we suddenly realise our own cup is running empty.

And there’s nothing selfish about taking a step back to refill it. ❤️

Rest. Breathe. Laugh. Spend time doing the things that light you up. Protect your peace. Give yourself the same love and patience you so freely give to others.

Because when your cup is full, you don’t give from exhaustion or obligation — you give from abundance.

You have more energy to share.
More patience to offer.
More love to spread. 🫶🏼
More of you to give to the people who matter most. 🌻

So today, remember… you can’t pour endlessly from an empty cup.

Fill yours.
Nourish yours.
Protect yours.

And then watch how much more beautifully you’re able to pour into the lives of those you care about. ✨❤️

I’m often asked, “How do you have so much energy?”
“Where does it all come from?”
“How are you able to keep giving, sometimes on very little sleep, and still function as a human being?” 😂

Well… the answer is actually quite simple.

I listen.

I listen to my heart.
I listen to my body.
I listen to my spirit.

And that’s something I’ve had to consciously learn — to make time for myself, to create space, to slow down enough to actually hear what they’re telling me.

Because when you give yourself that space to listen, something shifts.

Your body speaks.
Your heart speaks.
Your spirit speaks.

And when you learn to listen, they speak volumes. ✨

That’s where my energy comes from — not from endlessly giving, but from knowing when I need to refill my own cup so I have something genuine, loving and abundant to pour into others. ❤️🌻
And as a side note laughing till my stomach hurts with a friend fills that cup right up quick smart! 🤭😆

Have you ever felt that sudden wave of sadness? The tears that come out of nowhere while you're making a cuppa or driving?

That's not random.

That's your body finally saying - "Okay, I'm safe enough to let this go now."

It's all the stress you pushed down.
The exhaustion you ignored.
The feelings you tucked away because you had to keep going.

Even when it feels like it came from nowhere, it never really does.

There's always a reason. It's just been waiting for you to have a quiet moment to release.

So if you're crying today for "no reason" - please don't beat yourself up trying to find the why.

Just let it move through. That's your body doing exactly what it's meant to do.

For the ones who carry more than they ever admit.

You already know who you are.

You’re the person everyone calls when things start breaking apart.
The steady one. The calm one. The one who somehow always knows what to say, what to brew, what breath to take.

You’ve built a whole identity around being the oak in the storm.

But I want to ask you something, gently…

When was the last time you were held?
When was the last time you let yourself stop being the strong one?

We’ve been taught that strength means endurance — holding everything together, never cracking, never bending.
But real resilience? It’s quieter than that.

It’s the dandelion pushing through concrete.
She doesn’t fight the pressure; she finds the gap. She grows where no one is watching. She knows when to bloom and when to disappear for a season.

If you’re always grounding everyone else, your own roots go thirsty.
And that’s not noble — it’s exhausting.

Here’s the truth we avoid:

Sometimes we stay strong because it feels safer than being seen as soft, or needy, or human.
But softness is strength.
Making space for yourself isn’t selfish — it’s maintenance. Sacred maintenance.

So today, I’m giving you permission to do what wild things do best:
Reclaim your ground.

Put your bare feet on the earth before you answer anyone’s messages.
Five minutes. No fixing. No holding space. Just letting yourself exist without carrying anyone.

Let yourself be held.
Text one person and say, “I can’t be the strong one today.”
Watch who shows up.

Some days you overflow.
Some days you’re just roots in the dark.
Both are necessary. Both are you.

You don’t have to be the strong one to be worthy.
You don’t have to carry everything alone.
You’re allowed to be the medicine and the one who needs it.

You’re allowed to be reclaimed, too.

With dirt under my nails and softness in my chest,
Vee

One of the biggest things people ask me about is procrastination. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard someone say, “I’m just a procrastinator,” as if procrastination is their identity, their flaw, or some permanent part of who they are.

Frankly, I don’t believe anyone is born a procrastinator. I think procrastination is often a protective pattern that shows up when a part of us is afraid of what might happen if we actually follow through.

In Human Design, when we look at the energy of procrastination, we often see it connected to the 54/32 Channel between the Root Center and the Spleen Center. This is where ambition lives, and it’s also where the body begins to sense whether something can endure.

This is a powerful place in the chart. It holds drive, endurance, instinct, and the deep pressure to rise into something more.
But it also holds the fear of failure. And nine times out of ten, when someone tells me they’re a procrastinator, I can almost guarantee that underneath the delay is some version of that fear.

Think of it this way. If you simply don’t do the thing you know you need to do, then you already have a perfect explanation for why it didn’t work.
You failed because you didn’t do it. And because you chose not to do it, there’s a strange sense of control inside that failure.
That kind of failure can feel safer than the other kind. It can feel less vulnerable than doing your best, showing up fully, putting your heart into something, and then having to face the possibility that it still wasn’t good enough.

That’s the hidden bargain procrastination makes with us. It lets us fail in advance so we never have to risk finding out what would happen if we really tried.
I call this pre-failing. It’s one of the quiet ways we sabotage ourselves while also trying to keep ourselves safe.
Pre-failing can look like delay, avoidance, overthinking, distraction, or waiting until the last possible minute. It can also look like telling ourselves that we work better under pressure, when the truth may be that pressure gives us an excuse not to be fully present with the fear.

This is why procrastination is rarely solved by shaming yourself into action. Shame might push you for a little while, but it doesn’t heal the part of you that’s afraid to risk failure.
It also doesn’t teach your nervous system that it’s safe to grow. And if the deeper fear is still active, the pattern will usually come back the next time you’re standing at the edge of something important.
If you’ve been delaying something you deeply want, or if you’ve been calling yourself a procrastinator for years, this is a reminder to look at that pattern with compassion instead of judgment.

This post is just as much for me as it is for you, if you are meant to see it you will...be kind to yourself 🙏😍
