🫖 THIS is what chai is supposed to taste like. 🇮🇳✨

Having travelled through India, I’ve had my fair share of the real thing — beautiful, fragrant, spicy chai brewed the traditional way.

And I can tell you… The Fresh Chai Co. absolutely nails it.

This is proper wet leaf chai — rich, aromatic and full of those gorgeous warming spices. It genuinely takes me straight back to India with every cup. ❤️

My personal favourites? The Original and the Masala — although there’s also a beautiful vegan option, so there’s something for everyone.

And can we just appreciate the packaging? 😍 It’s almost too beautiful to open. These make such a gorgeous gift for a chai lover… although I completely support buying one for yourself too.

If you’ve only ever had powdered or syrup-style chai, do yourself a favour and try the real thing. This is chai on another level.

These stunning creations are by the very talented Heidi from Off with the Feathers, and we’re so excited to share that Heidi will soon be joining us to host a series of creative workshops right here in store.

📅 September 13th 📅 September 27th 📅 October 20th

Come along, slow down for a few hours and let Heidi guide you through creating one of these beautiful pieces for yourself — no experience needed, just a willingness to get creative.

And because we think creativity is even better with something delicious alongside it, you’ll also enjoy a grazing platter and a gorgeous Coco Ruby dessert as part of the experience. ✨

Beautiful materials, good food, lovely company and something handmade to take home at the end of it all. These are the kinds of afternoons we absolutely love bringing to our little shop.

If you’re in store, make sure you wander down and have a look at Heidi’s pieces on our back wall — they really are beautiful.

🧼✨ Introducing Bruny Island Soaps ✨🧼

This beautiful addition has been around 18 months in the making between Michelle and me, so I’m incredibly pleased to finally welcome Bruny Island Soaps to our store.

Handcrafted with beautiful essential oils, these soaps smell absolutely divine. I’ve always been a lover of soaps—the different fragrances, colours, textures and wonderful shapes they come in.

Does anyone remember the soap shop that used to be in Burnie? As a girl, I adored going in and looking at all the different soaps in their beautiful shapes. The little seashells were always my favourite. 🐚

There was something so magical about that shop, and it feels very special to bring a little piece of that same magic into our own store all these years later. If you remember what the Burnie soap shop was called, please let me know in the comments—I would love to remember its name!

It was wonderful catching up with Michelle again over the weekend and personally collecting our beautiful soaps. They’ve now arrived and are waiting for you at the front of the store.

If there’s one thing I’m a little particular about… it’s tea. 😂

As a self-professed connoisseur of herbal tea, I’ve tried a lot over the years — and The Tea Equation, made right here in Tasmania, is genuinely one of my favourites.

🍋 Calming Lemon is my personal pick. Beautifully soothing, fresh and comforting, it’s the kind of tea I find myself reaching for again and again. If you ask me which one to try first… this is probably the one I’ll put in your hands!

A little piece of Africa, right here in our shop. 🤎🌿

I just love the story and craftsmanship behind African Mud Cloth, traditionally known as Bògòlanfini.

Originating in Mali, West Africa, traditional Bògòlanfini is made from woven cotton cloth and coloured using natural materials, including plant extracts and iron-rich fermented mud. The name itself tells its story — bògò meaning earth or mud, lan meaning with or by means of, and fini meaning cloth — essentially, cloth made with earth. 🤎

Traditionally, the beautiful geometric designs can carry meaning too, with patterns used to communicate stories, proverbs, historical events and elements of everyday life.

You'll spot one of these gorgeous mud cloths draped over our newest piece of shop furniture — this incredible old turquoise cabinet. 😍

The cabinet isn't for sale (I don't think I could part with it!), but it came from our lovely friends at in Penguin.

If you've never been into Cocoon Designs, make sure you do. It is genuinely my favourite store — an absolute treasure trove of beautiful, interesting and one-of-a-kind pieces.
