Evidence over myths. Compassion over judgment.

As a palliative care nurse, I often see patients receiving evidence based treatment while also seeking help from traditional healers. Unfortunately, some practices can cause avoidable harm, including skin injury, impaired circulation, and delayed recovery.
Our role is not to criticize cultural beliefs but to educate with empathy, build trust, and help patients make informed decisions.

Every conversation is an opportunity to replace harmful practices with safe, compassionate, evidence based care.

Shared for educational purposes with patient privacy protected.
