The Biomedical Engineering degree has been created in response to the need to develop a new scientific and technological sector that is of vital importance in Bangladesh's future economic development. In particular, it aims to prepare students to embark on a career in the medical instrumentation industry, providing them with basic training that will enable them to work in several areas, including

developing new technologies in medical instrumentation (pharmaceutical and gene supply systems, biomedical imaging technology, implantable medical devices, surgical instrumentation and techniques, BioMEMS, biosensors, etc.), medical imaging, biomaterial technology, cell tissue engineering, rehabilitation biomechanics, and engineering, as well as numerical simulation and mathematical analysis of biological and medical systems.
