The Institute of Business Administration (IBA) at the University of Dhaka in collaboration with Beximco Pharmaceuticals PLC, has launched the Advanced Certificate in Pharmaceutical Business Administration (ACPBA)—the country's first executive education programme dedicated exclusively to professionals in the pharmaceutical industry.
The inaugural session of the programme's first batch was held on Saturday, marking a milestone for Bangladesh's pharmaceutical industry and executive education landscape, said a press release.
The first cohort comprises 47 carefully selected executives and managers from Beximco Pharmaceuticals PLC, Synovia Pharma PLC and Nuvista Pharma Ltd.
Speaking on the occasion, representatives of the two organisations said sustainable organisational success depends on continuous investment in people development.
They expressed confidence that ACPBA would set a new benchmark for executive education in Bangladesh's pharmaceutical industry by combining academic excellence with practical industry experience.
The six-month executive programme has been designed to strengthen leadership capabilities, business acumen and strategic decision-making among high-potential pharmaceutical professionals. The initiative represents a significant milestone in academia-industry collaboration and reflects a shared commitment to developing future-ready leaders for one of Bangladesh's fastest-growing and most globally competitive industries.
Participants who successfully complete the programme, meet the attendance requirements and satisfy the academic assessment criteria will receive the Advanced Certificate in Pharmaceutical Business Administration awarded by the IBA.
