𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.
It was a privilege to lead the "𝐄𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐟𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧" workshop at the 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐍𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐈𝐔𝐁𝐀𝐓, in collaboration with the 𝐔𝐭𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐚 𝐁𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.
Training the next generation of nurses and healthcare professionals on safe transfusion practices, blood grouping, and the management of transfusion reactions is vital for enhancing patient safety. The energy in the room was palpable, especially during the interactive quiz and practical demonstrations.

🩸 Blood Donor Selection: Clinical Scenarios
🔹 Scenario 1
একজন ব্যক্তি ১২ বছর আগে syphilis আক্রান্ত ছিলেন, এখন সম্পূর্ণ সুস্থ।
👉 রক্ত দিতে পারবেন?
🔹 Scenario 2
একজন ব্যক্তি ৬ মাস আগে gonorrhoea রোগ থেকে সেরে উঠেছেন।
👉 রক্ত দিতে পারবেন?

📌 Answer:

🔴 Scenario 1 – Syphilis
❌ কখনোই রক্ত দিতে পারবেন না।
Explanation: Syphilis হলো transfusion‑transmissible infection। Latent phase‑এ থাকলে routine screening miss করতে পারে।

🟡 Scenario 2 – Gonorrhoea
⏳ Successful treatment এর পরও 12 মাস defer, তারপর রক্ত দিতে পারবেন।
Explanation: Latent infection বা residual risk পুরোপুরি দূর করার জন্য 12 মাস অপেক্ষা করতে হয়।

ঈদের আনন্দের মাঝেও অনেকেই রক্তদান করে মানুষের পাশে দাঁড়ান—এটা সত্যিই অনুপ্রেরণাদায়ক। এই সময়টায় অনেকে নিজ নিজ এলাকায় থাকেন, তবুও যারা রক্তদান করেন, তারা নিঃসন্দেহে বিশেষভাবে প্রশংসার দাবিদার।

মানবতার এই সুন্দর উদ্যোগের জন্য সকল রক্তদাতাকে আন্তরিক অভিনন্দন ও কৃতজ্ঞতা। 💙
