Dear friends,

our team of four runners: Nicolas Rampelbergs, Sebastien Aebi, Arnaud Smeets, Dimitri Van Heyghen and our supporter's team KnoxFarmGundogs will be participating to the 100 km-run fight against cancer on Sunday 16/03/2025 in De Schorre, Boom.

It is a unique running event, in which teams of four runners run 100 km together for the benefit of cancer research. One runner starts and after every 10 km an additional runner joins the team. The first runner therefore covers 40 km, the second 30 km, the third 20 km and the fourth 10 km. They run together, cross the finish line together and in this way the team covers 100 km together.

Although cancer can be treated increasingly better, the goal is still not reached. In order to offer cancer patients a higher chance of survival and a better quality of life during and after treatment, cancer research remains essential.

That is why the runners of the 100 km run and “Kom-op-tegen-Kanker” are stepping in. We invest the nett profit of the 100 km run in research that has a direct added value for the well-being of the patient and where the financial need is greatest. In this way, we make a direct difference for many cancer patients, especially those suffering from rare cancers.

Chers amis,

notre équipe de quatre coureurs : Nicolas Rampelbergs, Sebastien Aebi, Arnaud Smeets et Dimitri Van Heyghen ainsi que notre équipe de supporters KnoxFarmGundogs participeront à une course de 100 km contre le cancer. Ce défi aura lieu dimanche 16/03/2025 à De Schorre, Boom.

Il s'agit d'un événement de course unique, au cours duquel des équipes de quatre coureurs parcourent 100 km ensemble au profit de la recherche contre le cancer. Un coureur prend le départ et après chaque 10 km, un coureur supplémentaire rejoint l'équipe. Le premier coureur parcourt donc 40 km, le deuxième 30 km, le troisième 20 km et le quatrième 10 km. Ils courent ensemble, franchissent la ligne d'arrivée ensemble et ainsi l'équipe parcourt 100 km ensemble.

Bien que le cancer soit de mieux en mieux traité, l'objectif n'est toujours pas atteint. Afin d'offrir aux patients cancéreux une meilleure chance de survie et une meilleure qualité de vie pendant et après le traitement, la recherche sur le cancer reste essentielle.

C'est pourquoi les coureurs de la course de 100 km et de “Kom-op-tegen-Kanker” interviennent. Nous investissons le bénéfice net de la course de 100 km dans la recherche qui a une valeur ajoutée directe pour le bien-être du patient et où les besoins financiers sont les plus importants. De cette manière, nous faisons une différence directe pour de nombreux patients cancéreux, en particulier ceux qui souffrent de cancers rares.
