My 5 BEST tips for a strong Bakasana
Those tips are great for most arm balances, read more more details 👇
My favourite tip to practitioners:
"In inversions or arm balances, the direction you are scared to go is always the right one"
1. No lazy hands but conscious hands
✓fingers wide open
✓press fingers tips down strongly
2. No collapsed spine but round your spine
✓engage your core = better stability (connect to Bandhas)
✓protract your shoulder blades to engage the chest
✓knees squeezed IN = inner thighs engaged
✓elbows squeezed IN = chest engage
3. No looking down but looking forward
✓look into the direction you lean to, if you look down you will go down, when you look forward you reduce apprehension
✓be careful with your neck
4. No holding back but lean forward
✓lean into your fingertips
✓the legs will feel lighter
✓keep your feet on the floor when you begin
5. No lazy legs but engage your legs
✓point your toes
✓heels to butt squeeze
✓legs are heavy, engage them so they feel lighter
✓it will connect the whole body together, the position become ONE.
✓better stability from the core
Apply those tips for your arm balances and let me know how it feels !
