This weekend we danced with the elements.
The rain came down with a force, reminding us that Mother Nature holds the final say. Tents flooded, wellies filled, and still the music played on.
Rather than dampening spirits, the storm seemed to draw people closer together. Little ecosystems of creativity, connection and celebration sprang up wherever there was shelter, like mushrooms emerging from the forest floor after heavy rain. 🍄
✨ Then came the sunshine ✨
For the Joyflow workshop (slide 2), we gathered to stretch, shake, move and remember ourselves. To feel our feet on the earth. To soften our shoulders. To awaken our bodies and prepare for one final dance.
We moved like water. We burned like fire.
A community of curious hearts. Open minds. Playful spirits. People who welcomed mischief as readily as they welcomed one another. Ready to dance, create, help, connect and embrace whatever adventure the moment presented.
There was a beautiful balance of wildness and gentleness. A freedom to play, alongside a genuine care for one another that could be felt in every corner of the festival.
I leave with a full heart, muddy boots and immense gratitude.
What a beautiful reminder that joy doesn’t require perfect conditions. Sometimes it simply asks us to dance in the rain.
Big shout out to Bernie & Michelle for the perfect music for the workshop. A spontaneous symbiosis 🫂🌱
