It is with heavy hearts that we announce the cancellation of the International SCORA X-Change Burundi 2026.
This was not an easy decision. After months of planning, collaboration, and excitement, circumstances beyond our control have forced us to cancel the international edition of the program. The regional Ebola outbreak led to the withdrawal of nearly all international participants due to travel uncertainties and potential quarantine measures affecting their academic commitments.
To everyone who believed in this project (our partners, volunteers, facilitators, applicants, and supporters) thank you. Your trust, encouragement, and commitment meant everything to us.
Although this chapter closes earlier than we hoped, our mission does not.
The vision behind SCORA X-Change Burundi remains as relevant as ever: empowering future healthcare professionals in sexual and reproductive health and rights through capacity building, clinical exposure, community engagement, and youth leadership.
We remain determined to create meaningful impact and strengthen the next generation of health professionals serving our communities.
Sometimes, resilience means adapting, not abandoning the vision.
