Nurturing the Future: World Breastfeeding Week at Haa Hospital!
🍼✨Today, Haa Hospital hosted an impactful health session for 27 participants, graced by our District Health Officer (DHO) and Dr. Anjali (representing our CMO).We also had the students representing ABIN who participated in the event.
Breastfeeding is a foundational pillar of public health. Our clinical team highlighted why breast milk is irreplaceable for our community's infants:
🧠 Supercharged Brain Development: Loaded with natural DHA, breast milk fuels infant cognitive growth, higher IQ, and stable sleep.
🛡️ The Ultimate Shield: Early milk (Colostrum) acts as a baby's first natural vaccine. It protects against deadly pneumonia, diarrhea, and asthma.
❌ The Danger of Formula: Artificial feeding lacks live antibodies. This leaves newborns highly vulnerable to painful gas, constipation, and severe stomach infections📐 Success is in the Latch: Preventing sore ni***es and low milk supply relies on a wide-open mouth latch and maintaining a demand-and-supply feeding schedule.
🇧🇹 With Bhutan’s exclusive breastfeeding rate climbing toward 70%, Haa Hospital stands fully committed to supporting every mother. If you are facing feeding challenges, visit our maternal health team today. We are here to guide you! ❤️
