πŸŒπŸ’› World Su***de Prevention Day | 10th September

Today at FNPH, we came together to observe World Su***de Prevention Day under the theme β€œChanging the Narrative.” πŸ’¬βœ¨

We began the session with an informative talk about su***de prevention and the importance of changing the way we understand and talk about mental health. πŸ’›

The day was filled with meaningful and fun activities, including a Power Walk for Su***de Prevention, Strokes of Happiness, refreshing activities, an exciting Treasure Hunt, and a heartfelt Letter of Hope activity. πŸ’ŒπŸŒ±

Together, we shared hope, spread positivity, and reminded one another that every conversation matters, every life matters, and there is always hope. πŸ«ΆπŸ’›

On 4th August 2026, Y-PEER FNPH had the pleasure of welcoming the new cohort of students through an interactive Y-PEER Club Sensitisation Session.

The session introduced students to Y-PEER, Y-PEER Bhutan, the journey of how FNPH became part of the Y-PEER network, and a brief overview of S*xual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR). Our core members also shared their personal experiences, highlighting the skills, friendships, leadership opportunities, and growth they have gained through Y-PEER.

We hope to see many of our new students join us in creating positive change and becoming the next generation of peer educators. 🧑

Periods don't pause for progress β€” and neither did Y Peer FNPH. 🩸

On May 28th, Y Peer FNPH observed Menstrual Hygiene Day with an informative and energetic session β€” marking the club's final activity for the semester. πŸ“š The event covered ge***al hygiene, menstrual hygiene and management, plus a practical demonstration on the safe and proper use of sanitary pads, tampons, and menstrual cups.

Participants were also sensitized on common taboos and stigma surrounding menstruation. They were invited to come up with their own intervention ideas to tackle these issues, followed by an open and honest discussion. πŸ—£οΈ To keep things lively, the event included fun games and refreshments for everyone. 🎯πŸͺ

A productive, enjoyable, and much-needed conversation to close out the semester. βœ…

A bittersweet moment unfolded at Ypeer FNPH, and what made it even more special was that the event was gracefully initiated by the outgoing senior cores themselves. To honor the occasion, Acho Palden, the former Ypeer focal of Bhutan, personally presented the badges and khadar to the former vice core members, who now officially take over as core members. The session was both sad and joyfulβ€”sad to see our seniors step down from their responsibilities, but happy to welcome the new leaders rising into their roles. We thank the outgoing team for their thoughtful leadership and warmly welcome the new core members as they begin this exciting journey.

March 8th marks International Women’s Day, and YPEER FNPH came together to celebrate it in our own small but meaningful way. We hosted a wonderful session that began with a discussion on gender equality, highlighting the importance of empowering and uplifting women in our communities. This was followed by a series of engaging and interactive activities such as the Power Walk, which helped participants understand different social perspectives, and a heartfelt activity where members wrote letters of appreciation to the important women in their lives.

The celebration also included an exciting Kahoot quiz that tested our knowledge about influential women around the world, along with a scenario-based advice activity where participants shared thoughtful solutions and perspectives. One of the most memorable moments was β€œ30 Seconds of Fame” with a twist, where members spoke about the women who inspire them the most and the impact they have had on their lives.

Overall, it was a fun, meaningful, and engaging day filled with learning, reflection, and appreciation as we celebrated the strength, resilience, and invaluable contributions of women in our lives and society.

The first Y-Peer FNPH event of the semester was a wonderful blend of celebration and capacity building. πŸ’šβœ¨

We marked the season of love with a meaningful debriefing session, featuring insightful presentations on volunteerism, consent, and healthy relationships. It was equally special to witness the transfer of knowledge as our members shared experiences from key programs including NToT, TBT, Y-peer Meet, and Design Thinking.

The energy in the room was palpable, thanks to engaging icebreakers, lively participation, and well-deserved refreshments. Here’s to creating safe spaces and fostering peer leadership at FNPH.
