BROADWAY TOYOTA MAHALAPYE DONATES 50 BLANKETS TO MAHALAPYE DISTRICT HOSPITAL

This morning, Broadway Toyota Mahalapye extended a helping hand to Mahalapye District Hospital by donating 50 blankets for use by inpatients at the hospital.

The donation is one of the initiatives spearheaded by the Hospital Advisory Committee (HAC) as part of its mandate to support hospital management in addressing identified gaps that may hinder the smooth delivery of healthcare services.

Speaking during the handover ceremony, the Hospital Advisory Committee Chairperson, Mr. Boniface Disho, said the committee is committed to working hand in hand with hospital management to advocate for both patients and staff. He added that the committee will continue to organise fundraising activities and engage partners to mobilise resources aimed at improving service delivery at the hospital as well as bridge the gap in staff welfare(wellness).

Broadway Toyota Mahalapye Human Resources Executive, Mr. Joseph Tamari, said the company has an annual corporate social responsibility initiative through which it donates blankets to government institutions and communities. He said that when the Hospital Advisory Committee approached the company with the request, it was easy to support the initiative as it aligned with their commitment to giving back to the community. He further encouraged the hospital to reach out should additional blankets be required in the future.

The Mahalapye District Commissioner, Mr. Ernest Phiri, and the Councillor for Parwe Ward, Honourable Ontiretse Mogapi, applauded Broadway Toyota Mahalapye for its generous gesture. They described the donation as commendable and noted that it reflects the Government's commitment to strengthening public-private partnerships to improve the wellbeing of communities.

Mahalapye District Hospital extends its sincere appreciation to Broadway Toyota Mahalapye for this generous donation. The contribution will go a long way in enhancing patient comfort and supporting the hospital's commitment to providing quality healthcare services.

TAKING SERVICES TO THE PEOPLE AT POLOKA VILLAGE

On tuesday, government departments, parastatals, and private companies gathered at Poloka Village to provide a wide range of services closer to the community in the Shoshong Constituency.

The initiative aims to improve access to essential services by bringing them nearer to residents, as people from Poloka and surrounding villages often have to travel long distances to Mahalapye or Palapye to access such services.

Mahalapye District Hospital participated in the event by offering health education and screening services. Available services included dental, laboratory and blood donation services. The outreach provided an opportunity for community members to receive important health services and information conveniently within their locality.

The initiative reflects the commitment of service providers to ensure that no one is left behind in accessing essential services
