If you tend to be more backed up or are not eliminated daily try adding more of the foods listed to your diet

💧First off, ensure you are well hydrated with filtered water, aim for 2L a day

🥝Including soluble fibre rich foods such as ground flax, oats, kiwi and prunes help to move things along

I typically suggest my clients aim for 35-40 g fibre daily

🌱Include food with natural laxative properties such as aloe vera juice and papaya

Remember it’s important to remove foods that could be aggravating your bowel movements, creating inflammation, backing you up further etc.

Ready to get things moving more regularly? The Digestive Wellness Program have you covered ✌🏼

I’ll be booking complimentary discovery calls next week for anyone who wants to learn more about the program and how you can optimize your gut health for life🙏🏼

Is this you?

I was constantly worrying about my health, thinking the worst of the worst when random pains would creep in or when I would go days running on fumes, I was experiencing anxiety 24/7.

I cant tell you how many times I went to the doctor and even emergency rooms looking for answers. Apparently it was all in my head because nothing was wrong or “showing up” in blood work or test results.

I was frustrated by the Iack of answers and support from my health care system. If they couldn’t help me then who?

☁️I remember every month picking up the newest women’s health, self and other magazines hoping to find answers.
☁️Google became my doctor and I was self diagnosing weekly
☁️I had a terrible relationship with food, I’d be “good” all day then binge for hours at night.
☁️I was wasting money, energy and time

For 4 years I’ve began investing the majority of my time, energy and money into “alternative” more holistic approaches to my health and it’s all been the most amazing learning experience and journey that I continue to this day (always learning and trying new things).

I’ve worked with nutritionist, multiple naturopaths, had a variety of trainers, and finally decided to take it to the next level by studying holistic nutrition to help others find the answers I spent years searching for.

It is my mission to help women feel vibrant, balanced and happy.

I know how frustrating it can be, I was there for so so long and I don’t want you to feel alone on this journey.

✨No longer restricting foods
✨No more going to google for answers
✨No more accepting “you’re fine”
✨Exercising for enjoyment not because you “have to”
✨No more letting your health worries control you
✨Focusing on prevention instead of waiting until things get “bad”
✨Knowing you are worthily of change and transformation

I am not just here to educate you and hold you accountable, I am here to support, listen, understand and guide you.

Remember, I am always here to chat, you can always DM me or contact me through my website 🤗

This stuff is magic✨

Well maybe not magic but bone broth packs a ton of benefits (swipe to learn more)

I’ve never actually made my own bone broth buts on my list for this fall/ winter.

I’ve heard a key to a good bone broth is the bones so I’ll be ordering mine from or you can visit your local butcher.

This is a staple in my diet because of all of the gut healing properties like collagen, glutamine and gelatine.

Currently I’m sipping on grass feed beef broth. I love to add turmeric sea salt, coconut oil and lots of pepper 👌🏼

I love using bone broth with my clients when we are working on the repair phase of their gut healing but honestly everyone should be drinking this, not just if you have gut issues.

ANTI CANDIDA MEAL PREP

I am starting a 6 week candida cleanse on Sunday. I’ve been taking the past 2-3 weeks to prep for it, I never recommend diving right into something that can be more restrictive. Although there is still a TON of things you CAN eat while on the cleanse there are something things you must avoid so taking the time to cut these out slowly helps with the transition I think.

I am trying to keep things really simple the first couple of weeks but more “strict” to really support the candida die off.

The diet includes lots of high quality protein, no starchy vegetables, healthy fats, some low sugar fruit (berries and green apples), nuts and seeds (only certain ones), minimal starches (sweet potato, cassava flour pasta, cauliflower rice, squash, millet, quinoa...the amount and type of carbs will depend on each individuals severity).

Starting each day off with my to to mineral morning cocktail then herbal tea (dandelion, fennel, peppermint etc.)

Breakfast Plates:
Chicken and sage patties with avocado and green veggies
Almond Butter Protein Smoothie

Lunch Bowls:
Grilled Chicken or Free Range Eggs
Leafy greens and mixed vegetables with roasted sweet potato or yams + candida fighting dressing

Dinner Options:
Shrimp curry with cauliflower rice
Wild Salmon with roasted vegetables
Grass fed beef burger, sweet potato fries and salad

Snacks:
Chia pudding
Bone Broth coconut oil
Pumpkins seeds & 100% dark chocolate

Foods I am removing from my diet (while on the cleanse)
•Alcohol
•Caffeine (I may have some organic decaf once a week)
•All sugar
•Fermented foods (for phase 1)
•Dairy
•Grains and most starches (rice, wheat, rye, yellow potato’s, chickpeas, kidney beans etc.)

Have you even done a candida cleanse? If you have I’d love to hear some of your favourite recipes 😋
