Sometimes, calm is a gift we can offer someone. 💛

I recently came across a post about Ted Lasso that introduced me to co-regulation—how our calm, caring presence can help others feel more settled.

It can be as simple as:
🌿 Listening with kindness
🌿 Speaking gently
🌿 Holding space for someone’s feelings
🌿 Saying, “I’m here with you.”

We don’t always need the perfect words. Sometimes, being present helps someone feel heard, supported and less alone.

A little patience. A little warmth. A little room to breathe. ✨

Who has been a calming presence in your life? 💛

“Of all of society’s institutions, education has brought us to the current state of poor relations between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples; but if it is education that created this mess, it will be education that will get us out of it.”
