Barrett Fitness & Wellness Coaching Helping women break free from chronic symptoms, pain or automimmune so they can feel like themselves again-calm, energized & empowered for healing! Let’s talk!

Somewhere along the way, we learned to treat enjoying ourselves like something we’d eventually have to pay for.

Eat more this weekend? Eat less next week.
Skip the workout? Better make up for it.
Have the dessert? Better “be good” tomorrow.

No thank you. 😏

A long weekend is part of your life.

And if the way you’re taking care of yourself doesn’t have room for long weekends, dinners out, vacations, celebrations, lazy mornings and really good queso…

I don’t think you need more discipline.

I think you need a more flexible definition of healthy.

So eat the food you love. Move because it feels good. Rest when you want to. Enjoy your people.

And when Tuesday comes?

There’s nothing to make up for.

You simply keep taking care of yourself.

Flexible is the new perfect. 💗

Send this to the woman who’s already planning her Tuesday “reset.”

👉Maybe you don’t need to get better at staying “on track.”

🫶Maybe you need something that actually works when life is busy, you’re tired, your body feels different, your motivation disappears, or life gets life-y.

🩷Because I talk to so many women who already know a LOT about being healthy.

💕They know they should move.
💕Eat nourishing foods.
💕Prioritize sleep.
💕Manage stress.
💕Take care of themselves.

👉The problem usually isn’t that they need more information.

🫶It’s that somewhere along the way, taking care of themselves became another thing they had to be good at.

🩷So when life happens and they can’t keep up with everything they think they should be doing, they assume they’ve fallen “off track.”

🩷If we were coaching together, I wouldn’t just help you figure out how to get back on it.

I’d want to know:
💕What keeps knocking you off in the first place?
💕What are you expecting from yourself that may not be realistic anymore?
💕Which things actually make you feel better — and which are you doing because someone told you they’re “healthy”?
💕And what would taking care of yourself look like if it had room to change from day to day?

🫶Because I’m much less interested in helping you follow the perfect health plan…
and much more interested in helping you create a way of caring for yourself that you don’t have to keep starting over.

That’s coaching. And that’s what I mean when I say: flexible is the new perfect. 💗

If you’re tired of constantly trying to get yourself “back on track,” tell me: what’s the thing you’re always trying to get back to?

✨I talk a lot around here about food, movement, sleep, stress and making healthy habits actually work in real life.

But there’s another part of health I never want to stop talking about:
✨The way we live affects the way we feel.

👉The constant rushing.
👉The pressure we put on ourselves.
👉The emotions we push aside because there isn’t time to deal with them.
👉The relationships that drain us.
👉The boundaries we don’t set.
👉The way we talk to ourselves when we don’t get it “right.”
👉The fact that we can be exhausted and still tell ourselves we should be doing more.

✨None of that exists separately from our physical health.✨

💕Our minds and bodies are having a conversation all day long.

And no, that doesn’t mean every symptom is “just stress.”

It doesn’t mean food, movement, hormones, sleep, medications or medical care don’t matter.

They absolutely do.

✨It means I believe we have to look at the whole woman.
👉Not just what she eats.
👉Not just how often she exercises.
👉Not just what her labs say.

✨But how she’s living.
✨What she’s carrying.
✨What she believes.
✨What she needs.
✨✨And what might be getting in the way of feeling the way she wants to feel.

💕That’s the mind-body connection.

And it’s a big part of why I became a health AND life coach.

Because I don’t think we can completely separate the two. 💗

Your health is part of your life.
And your life is part of your health.

If this is the kind of conversation you’ve been looking for, follow along.🩷🩷

Consider this your Sunday reminder. 💗

There will always be something else you could do.

Another load of laundry.
Another errand.
Another workout.
Another meal to prep.
Another thing to get ready for the week ahead.

🩷You don’t have to finish all of it before you’re allowed to rest.🩷

💕Rest isn’t the reward for getting everything done.💕

It’s part of taking care of yourself, too.

So if you need permission to leave something undone today…

Here it is. 💗

Save this for the Sunday you need the reminder.

Don’t get me wrong…accountability can be great and is part of what I do as a coach. 💕

But if you keep thinking “I just need someone to make sure I do it.”

💕I want to know why it keeps being so hard to do in the first place.
👉Is the plan actually realistic?
👉Are you trying to change too much at once?
👉Does it only work when you’re motivated, rested and life is cooperating?
👉What happens when you miss a workout, eat differently than you planned or have one of those weeks?
👉Do you adjust?
👉Or does one imperfect day turn into “I’ll start again Monday”?

💕THIS is the stuff I’m interested in as a coach.

Because I’m not here to stand over you and make sure you eat your vegetables and get your workout in. 😂

💕I want to help you understand what keeps getting in the way.💕

👉Then we can figure out what actually matters for YOU, make it fit your real life, and create something you don’t have to keep starting over.

Will I encourage you? Absolutely.

Challenge you? Yep.

Hold you accountable to the things you tell me matter to you? Of course.

💕But coaching goes so much deeper than accountability.💕
👉It’s curiosity.
👉Problem-solving.
👉Seeing patterns you can’t always see when you’re in them.
👉Making adjustments.
👉Learning what works for you.

💕And ultimately, helping you become someone who doesn’t need another person constantly telling her what to do.💕

That’s the kind of coaching I believe in. 💗

💕If you’re a woman in midlife who knows A LOT about being healthy but still struggles to make it work consistently in real life, follow along.💕

08/26/2026

Okay, maybe “don’t follow me” is a little dramatic but I DO want you to know what you’ll find around here.💕

💕I’m not interested in making your health another full-time job.
💕I’m not going to convince you that the answer is always more discipline, another rule or the next “perfect” plan.
💕And I definitely don’t believe your health can be measured by the size of your jeans.

What I am interested in?

✨Helping women in midlife feel better.
✨More energy.
✨More strength.
✨More confidence in the choices you’re making.
✨Less second-guessing.
✨Less starting over.
✨Less mental energy spent wondering what else you should be doing.

Because most of the women I work with already know A LOT about being healthy.

The hard part is figuring out what actually matters for you—and how to make it work in your real life.

That’s where coaching comes in. 💗

I help women sort through the noise, understand what keeps getting in the way, and create a simpler, more personal way of taking care of themselves.

Not so you can get better at “doing health.”

💕So you can feel good enough to get back to living your life.💕

If you’re a woman in midlife thinking, “YES. This is what I’ve been looking for…”

Follow along. You’re exactly who I’m here for. 💗

Nothing like a quick Google search to really clear things up. 😂

One minute you’re wondering why you’re tired.

Twenty minutes later you’ve diagnosed yourself with 14 different problems, ordered three supplements and decided you’re eating both too much AND not enough.

This is one reason taking care of ourselves has gotten so overwhelming.

We have access to more health information than ever—but more information doesn’t always create more clarity.

As a health & life coach, a big part of what I help women do is sort through the noise, figure out what actually deserves their attention, and make healthy feel doable again.

But for today…

maybe step away from Google. 😂💗

Send this to the friend who’s also earned her unofficial medical degree from the internet.

08/21/2026

✨Maybe you want to lose weight.
✨Maybe you want more energy.
✨Maybe you want to sleep better, feel stronger, hurt less, or stop wondering why you just don’t feel like yourself anymore.

🫶Those things matter.

🫶But I think there’s something underneath all of them that we don’t talk about nearly enough.

What do you want your health FOR?
💛To travel?
💛Hike?
💛Play with your grandkids someday?
💛Feel good getting dressed and then forget about your body for the rest of the day?
💛Say yes when someone asks, “Want to go?”
💛Have enough energy left at the end of the day to actually enjoy your life?
💛Trust yourself to go out for dinner without wondering if you’re ruining all your progress?
💛Wake up thinking about what you’re excited to do that day instead of what you need to fix?

💛💛THAT’S why I care about health.

💛💛And it’s why the work I do with women isn’t about creating the most perfect wellness routine.

👉It’s about helping you figure out what actually helps you feel better, make it work in your real life, and spend more of your energy on the life you’re taking care of yourself to live.

Your health is not the destination.

It’s supposed to help you get where you want to go. 💗

If this is the kind of healthy life you’re after, follow along.

And tell me one thing: What do YOU want your health for?

08/20/2026

💛Eat enough protein.
💛Lift heavy.
💛Walk after meals.
💛Get your steps.
💛Sleep 7–9 hours.
💛Manage your blood sugar.
💛Get morning sunlight.
💛Take the right supplements.
💛Meditate.
💛Stretch.
💛Recover.

Oh—and whatever you do…

MANAGE YOUR STRESS. 😵‍💫

Anyone else see the irony here?
None of these things is bad advice.
In fact, I recommend many of them.

✨But somewhere along the way, taking care of ourselves became another list of things women feel like they’re failing at.
And I don’t think we talk about that enough.

Because if your “healthy lifestyle” has you constantly worrying…
😵‍💫Am I eating enough protein?
😵‍💫Did I exercise enough this week?
😵‍💫Should I be taking that supplement?
😵‍💫Is this food spiking my blood sugar?
😵‍💫Am I sleeping enough?
😵‍💫What am I missing?😵‍💫

…then I think we need to look at the WHOLE picture.

Your wellbeing matters, too.

This is a big part of the work I do as a health & life coach.

I’m not interested in piling another 10 healthy habits onto your life.

I help women sort through all the noise, figure out what actually deserves their attention right now, and create a way of taking care of themselves that fits their real life.

💛Sometimes that means adding something.
💛Sometimes it means changing something.
💛And sometimes it means realizing you don’t have to do everything.💛

✨Healthy habits should support your life.

💛💛They shouldn’t become another source of stress in it. 💛💛

✨If you’re a woman in midlife who’s tired of wondering whether you’re doing enough to be healthy, follow along.✨

💛We’re going to make this a whole lot simpler.💛

08/18/2026

I read something recently about Gen X women that hit me harder than I expected.

👉We were raised to be independent.
👉To figure things out.
👉To be responsible.
👉To push through.
👉To take care of what needed to be taken care of.

💛And somewhere along the way, a lot of us became the women everyone else could count on.

💛We got REALLY good at it.💛

But I wonder if we carried that same mindset into our health:

Something doesn’t feel right?
👉Research it.

Our body changes?
👉Figure out what we’re doing wrong.

Low energy? Weight gain? Trouble sleeping? Feeling “off”?
👉Find the diet. The workout. The supplement. The expert. The plan.

And if none of it works?
👉Try harder.

💛Maybe that’s part of why so many smart, capable women come to me feeling exhausted by their health.

It’s not because they don’t care enough.
They’ve been trying to figure it out for YEARS.

And one of the things I’ve come to believe as a health & life coach is this:

Being capable doesn’t mean you have to figure everything out by yourself.

Sometimes the most helpful thing isn’t another answer.

💛It’s having someone beside you who can help you sort through the noise, see what you can’t see when you’re in the middle of it, and figure out what actually makes sense for you now.

Maybe that’s why this Gen X realization got me a little emotional.

I’ve spent a lot of my life figuring things out, too.

My fellow Gen X women — does any of this sound like you?

If it does, tell me: FIGURE IT OUT in the comments.

And if you’re new here, follow along. Let’s continue this conversation.
