Calling all Norwood and Peterborough friends! Join me for a FREE workshop on October 17th at the Westwood Library!!

Permission To Be Human - exploring emotional capacity and self-regulation
(for adults!)
📣 Calling all leaders, helpers, parents, and caregivers. When you're used to holding everything together for everyone else, it's easy to forget about YOU - the human underneath all the roles that you play.
In this workshop, you will:
• Explore your own experiences with self-regulation, masking, and trying to feel better
• Learn a simple, effective framework for identifying and communicating your emotional capacity
• Leave with a deeper understanding of yourself (and others!) and new tools you can start using immediately!

If you tell people you're 'fine' while wishing there was a way to express how hard you're trying in that moment to show up, this workshop is for you. Created and facilitated by registered Social Worker and fellow human, Whitney Page. A Human Experience

Register by emailing [email protected].
📆 Saturday, October 17
🕗 1:30 - 3:00 p.m.

As my educator friends prepare to step into another school year tomorrow, please remember that your students will remember how you made them FEEL long after they forget what you taught them academically.
That doesn't mean you have to be perfect or have all the answers.
It means modeling what it looks like when you're not and when you don't...because that's the reality of being human.
We don't have all the answers, and that's ok. It's ok to say sorry, it's ok to make a mistake, it's ok to have a hard day. It's how we handle these moments that matter.
Leading with intention through these tricky situations creates connections that result in the empathy and belonging that we're all trying to create.
Under the professional mask, you're pretty awesome - risk showing that to your students! You might be surprised at the results ✨

One year ago, I left the job I thought I'd retire from.

The first picture was taken on the day I handed in my badge. I remember feeling sick to my stomach and shaking so badly, I'm surprised the picture turned out. I also remember thinking 'I'm going to want to document this moment. This is the beginning of something big'.

And it was - just not in the way I was expecting.

I've done a lot of learning over the last year. Some about business things, but mostly about myself.

I look at these two pictures (3, actually) and though I recognize myself in each one, the energy of each feels very different. It makes me realize how far I've come.

I've worked hard to send love to the past versions of myself (especially the one pictured in the badge...she was fighting for her survival, even back then. She just didn't have language for it).
Healing and self discovery is a messy and non-linear process...and I know this now more than ever.

Turns out, I've been re-building myself as much as I've been building this business and I'm choosing to enjoy leaning into the messy process of both ;)

Building a business takes time - that's what I have been told. And as a fast-brained human, that's been hard for me to accept. But in that 'time' is when I've been able to meet myself again and again and learn to love this version of me at a deeper level. Didn't see that coming, but dang am I grateful for that space, looking back.

And the exciting thing is that the business HAS been growing!
I am infinitely grateful to the people and organizations that brought me in to their spaces this year and showed their commitment to valuing their employees as humans first, not just as resources.

Thank you to each of you here for being with me on this journey! Your support has meant more than you'll ever know xoxo

Cheers to more years!!
