A huge -Thank You- to all of you who helped sort at BIRD over the last 3 Tuesdays. We should have a total of funds raised in a couple weeks. This is an important fund-raiser for our Shed, your contribution is greatly appreciated and the fruits of that labour will be enjoyed by all fellow Shedders throughout the year.

Our Shed will be Open each Saturday in September from 10:30 - noonish to continue getting our Shed ready to fully open. All are welcome to help or come and chat and have a coffee

We will be working on replacing the benches in the covered area Wednesday Sept 9th, 2026 at 1:30. Please join in.

Pancake Breakfast and Social
Saturday September 5, 2026. This coming Saturday. 10 AM - Noon

Can and bottle sorting at BIRD
September 8th Tuesday 8 AM -11ish.
Our Shed gets to keep some of the Deposit money from the bottles and cans we sort, so this is an important fundraiser for our Shed. Proceeds help us keep the lights and heat on, so please join us and pitch in!

Shedders:

Please join us for a pancake breakfast, coffee and tea social gathering Saturday Sept 5th 10 to noon at our shed just behind IPS. Come check out our new concrete which replaced the gravel area outside the shed and progress inside the shed.

Bowen Island Mens Shed will -not- be Open Bowfest Saturday, as several Shedders will be operating the Boat Building stall at Bowfest.

ALL Shedders and interested folks are encouraged to join us at Bowen Island Recycling Centre
-this coming, and next Tuesday morning - to sort bottles and cans.
This is a major fund raiser for our Shed.
Meet at BIRD between 8-8:30 AM (although if you rock up at 9 AM you won’t be turned away).
See you there!

Calling all Bowen Mens Shedders and interested folks!!
Come join us tomorrow August 25th, and the next two Tuesday mornings, at the Bowen Island Recycling Centre at (edited to) 8:00 - 8:30 Am to spend the next couple of hours or so, sorting bottles and cans.
This is a major Fund Raiser for our Shed, a big source of revenue, and we would greatly appreciate your help!
Bring yourself, and a pair of waterproof gloves. By all means bring a friend and their gloves as well.
Members, non-members, interested folks, all welcome to help.
Many hands make light work, looking forward to seeing some old (!) and new faces tomorrow and the next two Tuesdays

Reminder: First Saturday morning in September will be our Shed Pancake breakfast. Shedders and interested folks welcome for pancake breakfast, coffee, tea, and good company.

10:30 AM at the Shed with the new concrete apron, behind IPS school, Carter Rd.
Coffee, tea, snacks.
Join us, check out the new concrete, the new clamp rack, the revised drill and driver storage and charging station.
Bring work gloves if you’d like to help those sifting gravel and grading surrounding area.
Coffee, tea, snacks, and activities.
Participate, watch, be cheerful.
