Well Brockville online community, you spoke and we listened. We still are over here wanting to honour Dolly, and we love the idea of honouring our community too!

We can see how things may have been taken the wrong way, despite it not being our intention.

Many of you suggested it was an opportunity to donate to a cause in Dollys honour, some of you thought it was done in bad taste - and many also saw this for what it was - our way of being fun and supporting a woman we all obviously cared for in some way!

Our misjudgement in the original promotion, is the community’s gain! We’ve decided to donate to 2 different community organizations in Dolly’s honour- the Brockville Public Library and the Food Bank.
$100 will be donated to both organizations in Dolly’s name - AND if any of you take us up on the September 9th promotion, additional funds will be donated too! Some of you said it was tasteless, and while we didn’t intend it that way, we see your line of thinking!

We would also like to challenge other local businesses who are offering similar promotions to do the same. We are all stronger together, and when a community pulls together - great things can happen.

Now let’s move forward with all the peace, love and sparkle that was such a part of what Dolly Parton brought the world. 💕
