⚽🌟 Shoutout to our friends at Soccability Canada! 🌟⚽

Soccability Canada is dedicated to creating a more inclusive soccer landscape for everyone. Through their incredible initiatives, they are breaking down barriers and creating opportunities across the country, ensuring that people of all abilities have the chance to play, learn, grow, and thrive through the beautiful game.

Did you know that our very own BSC Coach Mackenzie Kieswetter is a goalkeeper on the Canadian Women's Blind Soccer Team? 🇨🇦🥅

For the second year in a row, Canada's first Women's Blind Soccer Team has earned the opportunity to compete at the IBSA World Championships in Brazil this September! This is an incredible achievement and a huge step forward for inclusive sport in Canada.

To get there, the team needs our support. Donations will help cover travel expenses, equipment, training, and other essential costs for the athletes and coaches as they prepare to represent Canada on the world stage.

Every contribution, big or small, helps make this journey possible.

Join us in cheering on Mackenzie and the entire Canadian Women's Blind Soccer Team as they prepare to take on the world! 🇨🇦⚽💙

Have you experienced difficulty accessing an accessible parking space at one of our Burlington parks? We are aware of ongoing concerns with the parking lot at Sherwood Forest Park. The park and parking lot are owned, operated, and maintained by the City of Burlington.

If you have encountered challenges, please share your concerns with Ward 5 Councillor Paul Sharman at [email protected] and [email protected].

It is important that the City hears directly from residents about how unsafe and inaccessible this parking lot can be for our athletes and other community members who rely on accessible parking.

Today, we honour the life and legacy of Dr. Frank J. Hayden — a visionary whose work changed the lives of countless individuals and families around the world.

Through his dedication, compassion, and belief that every person deserves the opportunity to participate, belong, and thrive, Dr. Hayden helped inspire and shape inclusive sport opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities for generations to come. His work laid the foundation for stronger communities, greater acceptance, and the joy of sport being accessible to all.

The impact of his legacy continues to be seen every day on playing fields, in gyms, and within programs that celebrate ability, inclusion, and human connection.

Thank you, Dr. Hayden, for inspiring so many and for leaving behind a legacy that will continue to change lives for years to come. ❤️⚽

As our program continues to grow, we are committed to keeping soccer affordable, inclusive, and accessible for every athlete in our community—while ensuring our players are supported by well-trained coaches and dedicated volunteers on the pitch.

This summer, we are excited to launch our fundraising campaign in partnership with the Ontario Sport Network and Ontario Soccer, allowing us to issue tax receipts for all donations of $20 or more. Our goal is to raise $20,000 over the next year to support and strengthen our program.

We kindly ask for your support in sharing our campaign with family, friends, and community members as we spread awareness over the coming weeks. Every contribution makes a difference.
