Funny how a packed calendar can make us feel accomplished…
Even when the things that matter the most are still waiting for our attention.

Busy feels productive because we’re constantly doing. Emails. Meetings. Messages. More emails.

But motion isn’t always momentum.

Before you dive into tomorrow's to do list, ask yourself:
What deserves my best energy today?
Because energy is one of your greatest assets. Invest where it creates the biggest return.

Busy or productive? Which one described your day?

If this hit a little close home, you’re not alone.

If you’re ready to stop spinning wheels and start making meaningful progress in your work and life, my Unleashing Impact program can help. It’s designed to help you gain clarity, protect your energy, and focus on what creates the biggest impact.

Email me at [email protected] and let’s chat!

Elite athletes schedule recovery.

High-performing leaders… not so much.

We wear skipped lunch, late nights and packed calendars like they’re medals of honour.

Meanwhile, athletes know something we often forget:
Recovery is part of the training.

If your brain is your most valuable performance tool, why are you expecting it to run a marathon without a water break?

Today, recover on purpose.
A walk.
A real lunch.
A few deep breaths.
An earlier bedtime.

What’s your favourite way to reset during a busy day?

Elite athletes have coaches. High performers should too. Curious about what one-on-one coaching could do for you?

Golf has a funny way of teaching patience.

One shot rarely defines the round.
It's what happens over the next 17 holes that matters.

Life and leadership work much the same way.

One great meeting won't build trust.
One workout won't transform your health.
One productive day won't create lasting success.

High performers don't rely on one great swing. They build habits they can repeat.
Because consistency has a way of outperforming intensity over the long haul.

What's one small action you can repeat this week that moves you toward the future you're building?

If this idea resonates, you'll find more practical strategies like this in my book, The Success-Energy Equation. It's packed with science-backed insights and simple actions to help you build the habits that fuel lasting success. Link in bio.

Ever open your inbox "just for a second"...
..and somehow, it's 47 minutes later and you've solved everyone else's problems except your own? 🙋🏼‍♀️

That's an energy leak.

So is checking notifications every few minutes, bouncing between tasks, and saying, "I'll decide later."

None of them seem dramatic, and that's exactly why they're so sneaky.

At higher levels of performance, the biggest gains come from tightening the small habits that quietly drain your focus and energy.

Be honest... which one is your biggest culprit?

Hidden energy leaks show up in every workplace.
If you'd like to help your team reclaim energy, sharpen focus, and unlock that extra 5%, email me at [email protected] and ask about my keynotes and workshops.

Here's what high performers eventually learn (sometimes the hard way):
Not every “good” opportunity deserves your energy.
Some of them are just well-dressed distractions.

Every yes has a cost.
Not just time, but the focus, energy, and mental bandwidth you need to do your best work.

And when your calendar is full of “good,” there’s no space left for “great.”

So my question is simple:
What are you saying yes to… that’s quietly costing you something better?

Want to gain clarity on where your energy actually creates your biggest impact?

Before anyone comes for me…

I don’t ACTUALLY think SMART goals are dumb.

I just don’t think they’re ... enough.

I’ve seen too many goals that are perfectly planned, completely uninspiring... and forgotten.
Yup, if your goal doesn’t make you want to chase it, you’ll probably abandon it before you start.

That’s why I add a little ART to my SMART goals.

Ready to create goals that energize you instead of just filling your to-do list?

What if 'Go Big or Go Home!' is exactly the kind of thinking holding us back?

We're often told bigger is better, but when ambitious plans get sidelined by life, maybe SMALL is better?

Because when we can't do the "big" thing we planned, we do nothing at all.

So instead, what's the smallest step that still counts?

A 10-minute walk.
One page read.
Five minutes of focused work.
One meaningful conversation.

Small actions may not feel impressive in the moment, but over time, those small steps will add up. Especially if you're consistent!

Confession…

I’m not interested in winning Summer.

I’m not trying to pack every barbecue, patio dinner, road trip, hike, and picture-perfect sunset into ten short weeks.

My version of summer? More time outside, less go-go-go, and more moments that make me think, “Yep. This is nice.”

There’s no right way to do summer, but there's a right way to enjoy it more.

Create a summer that energizes you, not one curated for social media.

So if it was up to you (because it is), what would your ideal summer look like?

On this week's blog, I unpack four things to unlearn about summer… and one invitation. Link in bio to read.

It's easy to think that the more you work, or the more you take on, the better the results.

But more isn't always better.

Many leaders spend their days reacting to emails, meetings, and day-to-day demands instead of the work that creates the greatest impact.

The result?

You stay busy all day, but accomplish very little.

Instead, at the start of the day, identify what matters most and focus your time, energy, and attention there.

My Unleashing Impact Ptogram helps leaders direct their effort toward meaningful results.

BEHOLD the power of unlearning!

Maybe the thing holding you back isn't what you don't know. It's what you're still holding onto.

Growth doesn't always come from learning more. Sometimes it comes from questioning assumptions, breaking old patterns, and letting go of habits that no longer fit who you're becoming.

When we unlearn, we create room for new ideas, better decisions, and greater confidence in the face of change.

What do you need to unlearn?

Curious about how to put it into practice? Check out my latest blog post and discover why unlearning may be one of the most valuable skills you can develop in a rapidly changing world.
