One thing I keep coming back to is this:
When someone has a physical illness, people show up.
Cards, meals, messages, support.
And that’s beautiful — it should be that way.
But mental illness… especially the kind you live with every day…
often happens quietly.
There’s no clear “event.”
No visible recovery timeline.
Just ongoing effort to function, cope, survive.
I think a lot of people don’t realize how much strength it takes to live like that.
Not just once.
But every single day.
