❤️ A Reflection from Our Hub Navigator

I've been reflecting on today's Rest & Recharge, and a few things became clearer to me.

When I started The Holistic Hub, I didn't have every detail figured out. What I did have was a vision for a community where holistic professionals could connect, support one another, share their strengths, and explore what's possible together.

I've always believed that you need to learn the lay of the land before you start building the house. And with The Hub, I've been doing that in front of everyone.

We've tried things, learned things, made adjustments. Some ideas have worked beautifully, others have shown us what needs to change. And I'm okay with that. There are real humans behind this project, and I don't think we need to pretend that building something meaningful is always neat and tidy.

One thing I keep coming back to is that the heart of The Holistic Hub can't be captured in a simple list of membership benefits.

Those benefits matter, and I'm committed to making the opportunities and ways to get involved clearer. But what excites me most is that part you can't put on a piece of paper.

It's knowing there's a community you can turn to, whether you're looking for a connection, a collaboration, some guidance, or just a place to say, "Hey, I could really use some support right now."

And that support doesn't always have to come directly from The Hub. It can come through the people you meet and the connections you make. A paid membership helps sustain the structure behind that network, offers additional benefits when you need them, and supports the bigger vision we're building together.

And you don't have to be a paid member to be a part of the conversation. That's something I never want us to lose sight of.

As we grow, I want to do a better job of sharing not just what we're doing, but why we're doing it, what we're learning, and where we're headed.

💬 So, I'd love to open up a conversation.

What would you like more clarity on when it comes to The Holistic Hub? Where we are today, what we're building, or where we're headed?

Ask away. I'll share what I can, and if there's something we haven't figured out yet, I'll tell you that too. ❤️

With connection,

Crystal Inness

A little about the people helping bring this Summit to life.

The three of us come to this work through very different experiences, but we share a belief in what can happen when people, ideas, and different approaches to wellbeing are given the opportunity to come together.

We want the Holistic Hub to be something people can turn to when it aligns. A place to find connection, discover support, meet someone new, explore another perspective, or simply know that there is a community and a resource there when you need it.

Heather Cowell | Winter Tree Wellness
“My work has taught me that healing can take many forms, and sometimes what we need most is simply a safe, quiet space to reconnect with ourselves. I love being part of a community where people are free to explore what wellbeing and connection mean for them.”

Sandy McLellan | Sandy Uncaged Talks Astrology
“My own healing journey opened the door to astrology, energy, spirituality, and a lifelong curiosity about what helps us understand ourselves more deeply. I love collaboration because none of us has to know or offer everything. There is so much more available when we learn from each other.”

Crystal Inness | Crystal Clear Connections
“I’ve always believed that the right conversation, connection, or resource can change what becomes possible for someone. I don’t want the Hub to tell people which path to take. I want it to help make more paths visible, so people can discover what feels right for them.”

That’s a big part of why we’re helping lead this project.

Not because the Holistic Hub is meant to belong to us, but because we believe in helping create something that can serve all of us, including people who may never become members but still find exactly what they need through something we helped connect them to.

The Summit is one more way we get to bring that vision into the room.

We’re here today! 💜

The Holistic Hub is bringing our Rest & Recharge space to the Season of the Witch Spiritual & Wellness Expo today, and we’re so happy to have Jocelyn Firth of Raven Heart Tarot joining us.

Throughout the day, Jocelyn will be offering a fun, approachable way to explore tarot through your birthday-based tarot archetype. Using your birthdate, she can introduce you to the tarot archetype connected to you and share a little insight into the strengths, energy and themes it may reflect.

Hub Navigator, Crystal Inness, will also be there throughout the day offering simple nervous system regulation practices you can actually use in everyday life. Explore approachable tools like grounding through the senses, gentle breathing and longer exhales, humming, movement, temperature and other sensory shifts that can help you slow down, reconnect with your body and find a little more ease. You’re welcome to try something with Crystal, ask questions, or simply use the space to rest.

Rest & Recharge will also be your spot to sign up for today’s workshops and information sessions. Stop by to see what’s happening throughout the day, reserve your place in the sessions that interest you, meet some of the people offering them, and come back whenever you need a moment to rest and recharge.

Then at 2:00 PM, Jocelyn will be leading a workshop where you can explore this experience a little further.

Rest & Recharge is there for you throughout the day, too. Come take a break from the bustle of the expo, sit for a while, explore some simple regulation and sensory tools, connect with members of our community, learn about different wellness practices, or simply give yourself permission to slow down.

Come find us today!

We’re excited to begin introducing the Wellness Panel at the Holistic Hub Summit 2026.

One of the ideas at the heart of this Summit is that wellness doesn’t belong to one modality, profession, or way of understanding the body. There are many different paths into healing and growth, and we want to create space for those perspectives to sit together, learn from one another, and explore where they overlap.

The first voice we’re introducing is Antoinette Mattice of Arkanic Healing Studio.

Antoinette brings a perspective that beautifully bridges science and spirit. Her work brings together nervous system regulation, energy and frequency-based approaches, measurable insight, and coaching, with the belief that we don’t necessarily have to choose between what we can measure and what we experience.

One idea from Antoinette’s work especially stood out to us: Regulation comes before growth.

When the nervous system begins to feel safe, we have more capacity for clarity, change, connection, and the deeper work of becoming more ourselves.

That intersection of energy, frequency, science, and possibility is the perspective Antoinette will bring to our Wellness Panel.

And this is only the beginning.

As we introduce the rest of the panel, you’ll start to see how intentionally these different perspectives have been brought together. Different approaches. Different experiences. One much bigger conversation about what wellbeing can look like.

Across Nova Scotia, there are people putting their hearts into helping others. They’re supporting clients, creating welcoming spaces, sharing what they’ve learned, and finding ways to make their communities stronger. We want to bring more of those people together.

On November 15, we’re hosting the first Holistic Hub Summit at Fisherman’s Cove Heritage Centre in Eastern Passage. It’s a chance to meet the people behind the work, hear different perspectives on wellbeing, and spend time learning from one another.

The day includes a keynote, a wellness panel, workshops and presentations, and our Community Showcase. You’ll have opportunities to ask questions, discover local services and resources, and have conversations with people you might otherwise never meet.

Our members bring different backgrounds, experiences, and approaches to their work. We’re proud to help share that work with a wider community and create a gathering where we can learn from those differences and find places to work together.

You don’t need to work in wellness to join us. If you’re curious, looking for support, or interested in the people and possibilities around you, you’re welcome.

We are hoping to expand into some new spaces and have a lot of people ask about spots to rent and host for events.

If you know of a nice spot to host, please add their details below.

We also plan to have a rental space directory in the future, as this is something many within the membership could benefit from!

✨ HUB PARTNER STUDIO SPOTLIGHT ✨

Meet Breathing Space Yoga Studio Tantallon 🧘‍♀️🌿

At the Holistic Hub, we love connecting with spaces that bring people together in meaningful ways, and Breathing Space Yoga Studio Tantallon is one of those special places.

More than just a yoga studio, Breathing Space has created a welcoming community where people can slow down, reconnect with themselves, and explore wellness in a supportive environment. Through yoga, mindfulness, workshops, and community-focused experiences, they offer opportunities for people of all backgrounds and experience levels to nurture both body and mind.

One of the things we appreciate most about Breathing Space is their commitment to creating a space where people feel comfortable showing up exactly as they are. Their focus on connection, growth, and wellbeing aligns beautifully with the values we hope to cultivate throughout the Holistic Hub community.

We're grateful to have Breathing Space Yoga Studio Tantallon as a Hub Partner Studio and look forward to continuing to create opportunities for connection, collaboration, and community together.
