Apparently when your coach is getting married, the logical thing to do is secretly print shirts with his face on them 😂

This crew surprised Coach Marc tonight with matching “FUN GUY” shirts… including one for him.

One of my favourite things about Ascend is watching friendships form in groups like this. People come in to work out, and next thing you know they’re planning coordinated t-shirt reveals before class.

Today’s celebration for Marc and Sarah reminded me how amazing the Ascend community is.

If you feel tight all the time… this might surprise you 👇

Most people think they need to stretch more.
Hamstrings, hips, shoulders… stretch, stretch, stretch.

But what if the problem isn’t flexibility?

👉 The missing piece in your mobility might be your breathing.

Yep.

If you’re a “chest breather” (most people are), your ribs lift, your core doesn’t engage properly, and your body starts compensating.

That can show up as:
• tight hips
• a sore low back
• stiff shoulders

So you stretch… but nothing really changes.

At Ascend, we see this ALL the time.
When we help clients improve how they breathe and position their body, things start to feel better—without adding more stretching.

Want to try something simple?

Lie on your back with your feet on a chair.
Inhale through your nose → feel your ribs expand (not your chest lifting).
Exhale slowly → let your ribs drop down.
Repeat for 5–6 breaths.

Small shift. Big difference.
