Sometimes... Alopecia can feel like both a gift and a curse ✨

🎁 The gift being the ability to pick and choose who you want to be on any given day. Being able to whip off that wig when you're too hot. Not knowing what the best shaving products are because you've never needed them.

☠️ The curse... well, that's a little deeper. That lands more firmly with identity, femininity and missing out.

🌱But finding balance is where the beauty lies.
Being able to express yourself both ways, feeling beautiful both ways, knowing that both ways......
You're still you 🧡 🔥

✨ Glimmer Goals ✨
At the beginning of 2026, I decided to make a list of things I felt were attainable goals that would bring me joy this year.
Fun little things like:
🌼Go to a concert
🌼Try a new cafe
🌼Read a new book

Even though "follower count" is not something that impacts me, as this platform hasn't been used to its fullest potential, in terms of creating a community for alopecia or raising awareness....
🌼I added a goal to my list to reach 1500 followers on instagram.

I was able to put a checkmark on that goal!
But the reason was surprising.... it wasn't because of all my effort to build a community, but rather putting myself in a position of trying to JOIN a community.

Every time I get out of my comfort zone and go spend time with other women with alopecia, I grow as a person, and then my reach grows too.

So!! I think that's pretty cool 🙂 ✨ let this be your inspiration to grow today.

You know that thing... when you think about the little version of you, who didn't know what the future held, didn't know if it would be okay.
That little one with big dreams and imagination and wonder... and you reflect on the million moments between then and now. Good and bad.
Reminding yourself to love who you are now, because you love that little version of you so much that you want her to know she is exactly who she dreamed of being?
🥹 ♥️ ✨ Let's keep working towards being that person.

t meant a lot to see so many people show up, connect, and support one another.
And a big thank you to those who helped set everything up and volunteered your time: I truly couldn’t have done it without you.

I’m so grateful for a successful first event of the year, and for this growing, supportive community.
