You know the drill.

Make a big resolution that will maybe last a couple weeks, if not days.

Why let a date decide when to make healthy changes?

Why not start with tiny habit, one that will make you (the same you from last year) feel a little better. A small thing that you can gift yourself.

Maybe that’s putting your phone on airplane mode when you sleep, or drinking a glass of water in the morning.

Maybe it’s enjoying the sunrise/set, or wearing blue light glasses during Netflix marathons.

Maybe it’s taking a moment to check in with yourself on how you feel.

Healthy change isn’t dramatic. It’s gentle, simple.

Last year’s you is just as deserving of feeling good as this year’s.

Is your laptop or smartphone giving you a headache? Grace Demill was plagued by migraines and insomnia for years, something she attributes to all the screen time.

So the Cobourg marketing entrepreneur and riding instructor decided to find a solution – specialty glasses that block out the blue light emitted by screens, which can mess with your sleep and stress hormones.

“I was honestly a big skeptic,” Grace says. “But I tried them and realized I wanted to share this because it’s too simple and practical to not have in your day-today.” She launched her Quality Life collection of Canadian-designed glasses in September 2021 and hasn’t looked back. “It comes down to helping people, because I know how hard it is to deal with pain.”

Pick up some salt lamps to change up your “light-time”routine. Seriously.

As a light sensitive person, my home’s overhead lights are way too intense in the late afternoon into night. At sunset, you need some warmth and light… without the headache of fluorescent bulbs. Cue salt lamps. Everywhere.

Not only are they super pretty, but the light coming from this source is calming and not as irritating as other artificial light sources, especially after staring at a screen all day. Just another way to get some peace…

When the sun sets, you can guarantee that the salt lamps and DeepSleep glasses will be on. 💤
