I’ve always wanted to do a Medusa designs but it just never seemed to feel right. I would draw something and it would just fall flat to what I imagined…🥲

Medusa is a symbol of protection, female empowerment, transformation and survival.

I wanted this to be a sort of talisman that someone can wear and hold as a reminder of their own strength and resilience and evolution as a person. You are your own protection and power. You are more and you are resilient.

I love how she came together. I hope you like her too 🥰

Finished up this piece the other day. Took 2 sessions to complete. We ended up switching the hanging crystal to a hag stone and I’m so glad we did. Love how it all came together! 🥰

She’s hiding a bit of a cover up as well. What a unique concept! You guys are so creative! 😃✨

For those who don’t know a Hag stone is a stone naturally worn with a hole through it.

It is traditionally believed in folklore to offer protection from evil, ward off nightmares, and reveal hidden magic. It was often kept or hung near the home as a little talisman of luck, protection and a connection to nature.

Another loon for the collection 🥰

I want to get into more of the symbolism of things. I feel like they can have such an impact and connection with people!

So besides being an iconic bird of the Canadian wilderness there are so many cultural and spiritual meanings to the loon that include peace, dreams and wishes. I like the idea of the loon symbolizing the subconscious and connecting the physical and spiritual realm. Those are just some of many!🥸
