We often hear the term ‘'emotional eating’’, and it is always associated with an uncontrollable urge to eat and binge on unhealthy foods 🍩🍦🍟
However, this is not always the case.
We choose many ways to comfort ourselves when we are feeling vulnerable, whether that’s due to direct emotional shifts or hormone changes. It’s ok to comfort yourself with food sometimes. Listen to your intuitive needs. Being mindful of choosing exactly what you want and being aware of your state of mind is much different than being disconnected from your food.
