Amid the beautifully ornate resting place of Toronto’s early settlers,
Resting among long growing trees,
There is quiet.
Quietly, locals stroll casually noticing names and dates.
History is apparent,
Obvious.
Seeing engraved dates marking past lives
May bring reflection, pauses even.
As I set towards the exit, looking at the unpaved downhill path,
I was stopped by this sign.
Solitude and magnitude can co exist.
The sign I’ve shared here is a point to ponder.
This is a moment of feeling held amid the great wide world.
