Trump moving to expand options for smaller processors and interstate sales while keeping safety rules. Real concentration problem, real response underway.

They say Algonquin Regional High School socially transitioned her without telling them in late 2024; DCF then removed her after they refused to affirm it. Contact has been barred since early 2025. A judge paused testosterone pending an Oct. 29 hearing.

On Sept. 22, 2026, the Seattle City Council voted 7-2 to approve the Fair Pricing and Transparency Ordinance. It bars large grocery chains and delivery services from using personal data, like browsing history, location, or demographics, to set different prices for the same items.

The ban targets retailers with 20+ locations and takes effect Sept. 1, 2027. It aims to stop data-driven price discrimination while requiring clear, equal pricing.

But the decline began before the current administration, and most evidence points to weight-loss drugs, not new policies, as the main driver. Chiropractor Eric Nepute says the U.S. government sued him for half a trillion dollars under the COVID Consumer Protection Act after he promoted vitamin D and zinc. The 2021 case was the first under the new law. Prosecutors alleged numerous violations, creating a theoretical maximum near $500 billion. He settled for $80,000 and an injunction. His company paid $1 million (mostly suspended due to inability to pay).
