🌿 QUICK TIP: Work with Herbs to Beat the Heat 🌿
Many plants in the mint family have naturally cooling properties that can help support the body during and after heat exposure. During this extended heatwave, consider brewing a refreshing tea with some of these cooling mints:
✨ Lemon balm
✨ Peppermint
✨ Spearmint
You can also add other cooling herbs such as:
✨ Hibiscus
✨ Rose
✨ Linden
✨️ Lavender
✨ Chamomile
For the best results, brew your tea with hot (not boiling) water and steep it covered with a lid or plate. This helps preserve the fragrant volatile oils that contribute to the plants' cooling qualities. Once steeped, place the tea in the fridge to cool down.
For convenience, brew a 1L mason jar so you have multiple servings ready to enjoy throughout the day. Simply increase the amount of herbs you use by 3-4 times when making a larger batch. Adding a spritz of lemon or lime to the cooled tea can further support your body through these hot days.

Stay cool, everyone! 💚
