What Are Corns and Calluses? 👣
Corns and calluses are areas of thickened skin that develop when your feet experience repeated pressure or friction. While they are your body’s way of protecting the skin, they can become uncomfortable or painful if they build up too much.
🔹 Calluses are larger areas of thickened skin, often found on the heels or the balls of the feet.
🔹 Corns are smaller and deeper, usually forming on or between the toes and can be quite painful.
A Certified Foot Care Nurse can help by safely reducing thickened skin, relieving pressure points, and providing guidance on proper footwear and foot care.
⚠️ It’s important not to cut or treat corns and calluses yourself, especially if you have diabetes or poor circulation.
Taking care of your feet helps keep you moving comfortably! If you are experiencing painful corns or calluses, professional foot care can make a big difference.
