💛🧠 Kind Ways to Reset 💛🧠
As we approach the last day of the Eeyou Summer Games, we want to remind all of our youth to take a moment to breathe, reset, and be proud of yourselves.
Whether you brought home a medal, achieved a personal best, cheered on your teammates, or simply had the courage to compete—you've already made your community proud. ❤️
Competition can bring excitement, but it can also bring stress and pressure. Remember that your value isn't measured by the scoreboard. It's measured by your kindness, resilience, sportsmanship, and the effort you put in.
Take care of yourself:
🌿 Get some fresh air.
😴 Get enough rest.
🫶 Talk to someone you trust.
💛 Be kind to yourself.
🧘 If you're feeling overwhelmed, try the 5-4-3-2-1 grounding technique on this poster to help bring yourself back to the present.
Remember, you never have to carry things on your own. If you need someone to talk to, the Wîchihîwâuwin Helpline is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at 1-833-632-4357. Cree-speaking counsellors and Elders are available upon request.
Thank you for representing your communities with pride. No matter where you placed, we're incredibly proud of each and every one of you.
❤️ Finish strong, stay safe, support one another, and enjoy the final day of the Games!
