Growth has a funny way of humbling you. The more you learn, the more you realize how much you still have to learn. And maybe that’s the beauty of it.

Fun little challenge for us today. Ummmmm, pets aren’t invited to the loft next time 😂😂😂 Can you see the fuzz flying around 😭😭😬😬

Sometimes yoga sounds like Dr. Dre. 🎧

If you would’ve told the girl ripping around in her Sunfire with the windows down, the bass cranked, and Dr. Dre shaking the mirrors… that she’d grow up and leave her 9-5 to be a yoga teacher… she would’ve laughed.

Somehow we survived the workout… and each other. 😂

Pilates, yoga, core work, a little Yin… and only a few sibling negotiations along the way.

Pilates: because regular suffering just wasn’t challenging enough. 🤡✨. Here’s just a quick little side series we did in class this week.

✨ Created this little flow this week and I’m not gatekeeping. 😜

🤣 Did you guess the right plant? 🤣

Enough rain this weekend that I figured I’d just stand on my head and call it a hobby. ☔😂

Balance doesn’t have to look perfect to be beneficial.

For dancers, poses like Dancer help build strength, stability, focus, coordination, and body awareness. These are the things that support better turns, cleaner technique, and more confidence on stage.

For hockey players, time spent in a deep yoga squat can help improve mobility through the hips, ankles, groin, and hip flexors. Greater mobility often translates into better skating mechanics, stronger edges, and more efficient movement on the ice.

Different sports. Different goals. Same foundation.

Yoga isn’t about nailing the pose. It’s about developing the strength, mobility, balance, and awareness that carry into everything else we do.

And sometimes a little wobbling is exactly where the learning happens.

Not gonna lie, I thought I’d be doing all the cool Instagram yoga stuff by now. 😂

Instead, here I am turning beet red while hovering my feet a few inches off the ground.

This pike hover took me years to build toward. Years of falling out of it, years of trying again, years of building the core strength and control to make it feel even remotely possible.

And honestly? I still find it hard.

The funny thing is, yoga has taught me that the pose was never really the point.

At the end of every class, I remind my students that if they came to their mat and did nothing but breathe, they still did yoga, and they did it well.

Maybe that’s the lesson.

Not every practice needs to be impressive. Not every season needs to be your strongest. Sometimes simply showing up is enough.

And sometimes showing up looks like a red face, a shaking core, and trying not to fall on your butt. 😅
