I had a conversation with a client this morning talking about having the desire to train
Today was one of those days where she really just didn't feel like doing it
She asked at what point does this feeling go away?
The truth is... It doesn't
I have been training for 15 years now and today I also had one of those sessions where I questioned if I really wanted to put a heavy barbell on my back
(I didn't but the future version of me did)
When you're having days of low motivation it's more important than ever to rise to the challenge
Times like this are where discipline and character are built
Get into the gym, find SOMETHING you can get a win on and get out feeling accomplished
Understand you're stacking wins and if you can do it on a "bad" day imagine what you can do on a "good" day
Canceling the session or throwing the towel in early will only fuel disappointment and discontent making it that much harder to stay disciplined in the future
Tap into delayed gratification and make the future version of you proud
If it were easy there would be 100+ people in the gym at any given time of day
