Middle Season supports women through perimenopause, menopause + midlife with practical, holistic coaching, real-life education, and no-BS support for feeling better in your body. Reclaiming My Health, My Work, and My Self...

n — a journey I know will continue to unfold, teaching me something new about myself every single day. Health and wellness have always been close to my heart. From a young age, I struggled with being overweight, and because of that, my weight, wellness, and mental health have always been at the forefront of every choice I made. It shaped how I moved through the world and how I came to understand that real health is about so much more than numbers — it’s about connection, compassion, and listening to what your body needs. Over the past couple of years, my menopause journey has been one hell of a storm — chaotic, revealing, and deeply transformative. It stripped me down and rebuilt me, showing me what strength, vulnerability, and healing truly look like. Now, I’m bringing everything I’ve learned into my work. I’ve shifted my business from primarily business coaching to include Holistic Perimenopause and Menopause Health Coaching, and I’m proud to now be a Certified Holistic Perimenopause and Menopause Health Coach, currently working toward completing the Holistic Nutrition Weight Loss Coach Program. This next chapter isn’t just about me — it’s about helping other women navigate this same path with knowledge, compassion, and confidence. Whether it’s understanding what’s going on in your body, finding your balance again, or simply feeling like yourself — I want to help you get there. I’ve learned more about myself during this time than I ever imagined — and I’m endlessly grateful for the space to think, heal (we’ll talk about that soon 😉), and truly honour what my body needs in this next phase of life. This is the next chapter of my story — and I’m excited to share how I got here, where I go from here, and hopefully, how I can help you along the way. 💛

Why hire a health coach?

Because at some point, “I’ll just figure it out myself” turns into eating crackers for dinner, sleeping like a haunted raccoon, snapping at someone for breathing too loud, and wondering why your jeans have personally betrayed you. 😆

And listen.
You are smart.
You are capable.

You have survived work, kids, relationships, aging parents, weird group chats, Google rabbit holes, and probably at least one person who told you to “just drink more water.”

But perimenopause and menopause?

They can make even the most together woman feel like her body has been taken over by a tiny committee of gremlins with clipboards.

Sleep changes.
Energy tanks.
Weight shifts.
Mood gets spicy.
Stress feels louder.
Motivation disappears into the drywall.

And suddenly you’re thinking, “Who the hell is this woman and why is she sweating?”

That’s where I come in.

I help women understand what’s happening in their bodies and create realistic support around nutrition, sleep, stress, habits, energy, and hormone changes.
Not in a “here’s a perfect plan, good luck Brenda” kind of way.

In a real-life, human, no-BS, “let’s look at what’s actually going on and build something that makes sense” kind of way.

Because you don’t need more shame.

You need clarity.
You need support.
You need a plan.
You need someone who gets it.
And yes, you can absolutely be strong and still need help.

Hi. I’m Genny with a G.

And I’d love to be in your corner. 🤍

A question I’ve been reflecting on lately:

What if the biggest challenge in your Middle Season isn’t your weight, hormones, career, relationship, or health…

What if it’s understanding your own patterns?

I’ve spent a lot of time helping women navigate perimenopause, stress, weight gain, burnout, and life transitions. One thing I’ve learned is that our behaviors often tell a story.

Some of us are doers who never stop moving.
Some of us put everyone else’s needs ahead of our own.
Some of us are constantly searching for the next goal, next challenge, next version of ourselves.
Some of us know exactly what we need to do, but struggle to make ourselves a priority.

Awareness isn’t about judgment.

It’s about understanding what’s driving your choices so you can create lasting change.

As I reflected on my own behavioural tendencies this week, I realized how much of my health, business, and life journey has been shaped by the question:

“How do I create success without sacrificing my health, freedom, and relationships?”

If you’re a woman in your Middle Season feeling stuck, overwhelmed, exhausted, or wondering why the strategies that used to work no longer do, coaching can help you uncover the patterns that may be holding you back.

✨ Your next chapter doesn’t require becoming someone new.
✨ It starts with understanding yourself more deeply.

DM me “MIDDLE SEASON” if you’d like to learn more about 1:1 coaching and how we can work together.

Can we talk about how perimenopause and 30°C with humidity feels like a personal attack?” 😅🔥 # perimenopause

06/08/2026

Perimenopause weight gain is NOT because you’re lazy, lack willpower, or suddenly forgot how to eat.

Your hormones are changing. Your metabolism is changing. Your body is changing.

And if you’re still trying to lose weight the same way you did at 25, that’s probably why you’re frustrated.

This week, I’m getting back to one of my favourite metabolic health tools: fasting. I’ll be sticking with my usual 16:8 schedule, but may throw in a 24- or 48-hour fast depending on how I’m feeling.

Before anyone panics… fasting isn’t starving yourself. It’s giving your body a break from constantly processing food and allowing insulin levels to come down so your body can access stored energy.

The truth? Most women in perimenopause don’t need to eat less and exercise more. They need a strategy that works WITH their changing hormones.

If fasting feels impossible, if the scale keeps climbing despite doing “all the right things,” or if you’re tired of getting generic weight loss advice that doesn’t work anymore…

DM me.

Helping women lose weight in perimenopause without obsession, restriction, or spending hours in the gym is literally what I do at The Middle Season. 🔥

Your hormones may have changed the rules, but that doesn’t mean you can’t win the game.

It feels SO good to be back at the gym.
I’m currently sitting at 172 lbs and really focusing on building strength, moving my body more, and keeping my body healthy from the inside out.

But first… sunshine, protein and my “creatine espresso latte.” 😂
And yes, I know that’s absolutely not the name of the drink. I can already hear the baristas typing.

This morning is all about some Vitamin D, then I’m hopping on a podcast with David Cohen, and after that… leg dayyyyy.
Easy leg day though, Dawn 😅 — no heroics over here. We’re training smarter these days.

Thank you & love you, Dawn Moulton for always keeping an eye out for me and reminding me my body is healing while still getting stronger 💛

Honestly, this season for me is less about shrinking myself and more about rebuilding myself.
More muscle. More mobility. More energy. More life.

And YES — you can absolutely work on your health and body in perimenopause without destroying yourself in the gym.

If you’ve been wondering what I’m doing for training, nutrition, recovery, supplements, or how I’m balancing hormones, workouts and real life… DM me. I’m happy to share what’s working for me right now 🫶

This morning’s plan?
Move my body.
Get to the gym.
Soak up this sunshine.
And honestly… feel GOOD again. 🙌

No headache today.
No gut issues today.
Just a little energy, a little peace, and a reminder that healing isn’t always dramatic — sometimes it’s simply waking up and realizing your body feels a bit lighter.

Also… after seeing myself in this video, I kinda miss my short hair 😂✂️

Perimenopause, stress, hormones, health stuff… it all changes us in seasons. But learning to listen to your body instead of fighting it? That’s where things start shifting.

Today isn’t about punishment workouts or “bouncing back.”
It’s about supporting my nervous system, building strength slowly, and enjoying feeling like myself again.

If your body has been asking for gentler movement, slower mornings, or a reset… this is your reminder to listen. 💛

DM me if you’re trying to figure out movement, weight loss, or wellness during your middle season — without burning yourself out. ✨

Some days in the Middle Season, the workout plan is simple:

Don’t fight your body. 😂👏

This morning with my gal pal, Bethany! In for a light workout.

Because here’s the thing nobody tells women in perimenopause and menopause…

Your body suddenly becomes that one friend who refuses to cooperate unless conditions are PERFECT. 😅

Too much stress?
She revolts.

Too much cardio?
Inflammation.

Not enough sleep?
Puffy face and cortisol belly enter the chat. 🙃

So today’s mission isn’t “beast mode.”
Today’s mission is getting my brain and body back in the same group project.

Movement.
Mobility.
Strength.
Breathing.
Nervous system support.
And maybe not swearing at myself in the mirror. Growth. 😂

The Middle Season is realizing you don’t have to punish yourself into health.

You can lose weight.
Build strength.
Feel sexy.
Get energy back.
AND support your hormones at the same time.

Wild concept, I know. 😉

I coach women through sustainable weight loss and weight management in perimenopause and menopause without the toxic diet culture nonsense.

DM me if your body feels like it changed the rules overnight and forgot to send you the memo. 🤍

Rediscovery.

Not of who you used to be.
But of who you’re becoming.

The middle season can feel confusing sometimes.
Your body changes. Your energy changes. Your emotions change.

But underneath all of that…
YOU are still in there.

And maybe this season isn’t about shrinking, fixing or fighting yourself.

Maybe it’s about rediscovering your strength, your confidence, your voice and your spark again. ❤️

I currently have an opening for a FREE 1:1 consult this Friday, May 29th at 1 PM.

Cold. Rainy. Grey skies. ☔️

And honestly? My old self would’ve powered through it with caffeine, stress, and pretending I wasn’t exhausted.

But perimenopause has humbled me REAL fast. 😂

I ran out of coffee yesterday (while literally being at the store 🤦‍♀️), so this morning started with a chamomile latte with almond milk, cozy clothes, slower energy, and giving my nervous system a break for once.

Because sometimes the most healing thing you can do in perimenopause isn’t pushing harder.
It’s slowing down enough to actually hear what your body has been trying to say.

And Henry fully supports this lifestyle. 🐾

Tell me I’m not the only one forgetting random things lately. 👀👇
