How are we already halfway through our Beginner Watercolour Course at the Watson Art Centre?! The last 3 weeks have flown by. We've learned basic watercolour techniques, colour mixing, all about painting leaves and wreaths, and last night we practiced our patterns, vases, flowers and plants. What a fun and lovely group 💐 Looking forward to painting fruit next week!

Okay, these awards are my fave thing to make lately! Especially with a group of friends 👏 These are crafty ribbons you can make for yourself or a pal. I think I'm going to put magnets on the backs of mine and put them on the fridge. What would you write on yours?

I had the special opportunity to make art with the K-8 students at the Grandview school last week 🌈 So many fun & colourful projects were done! These ones were made by the Grade 4 students. We used tempera paint sticks for our backgrounds, and then dabbed on acrylic paint with q-tips for our second layers 💛

Oil pastel transfers with these lovely humans 🦋 Our adult art classes are a great way to meet new people and try out creative endeavors in a supportive and encouraging space.

We've had a great time making art and visiting at the Dauphin Neighbourhood Renewal Community Centre. Hard to believe we've been having classes here for almost a year now! We meet every two weeks - let me know if you'd like to join us for some feel-good art time ✨️

Every Monday, I get to hang out with a lovely group of ladies in Gilbert and make art! This round of classes, we are exploring a different type of medium each class. This week was collaging 💓 We used our scrape-painted pages we had made before for our rectangle collages & our artist trading cards. I love seeing their personalities shine through in their colour choices & styles. Aren't these beautiful?! ✨️
