Emotional regulation isn’t about staying calm all the time. It’s about recognizing what you’re feeling, creating space before reacting, and choosing how you want to respond.

A simple place to start:

Pause → Notice → Name → Choose

And these skills matter at every age. Children and teens experience big emotions too and may need support learning how to understand and manage them.
