Incoming gushy post about community…💕
This week has been busy. Really busy but as I took some time away on Thursday to reflect, I was overwhelmed with so much gratitude for community and it was all triggered by a random moment. A woman who spoke a different language than I did had a question and we found the answer without words. It was a silly moment I needed because it reminded me that we had created community right there. This reminder was solidified when someone asked my sweet friend in a crowd of women why she’d moved to North Perth and her immediate answer was “why not?”
Our week had a culture fair (shout out to staff and families), games night, chess club, a Darkness to Light walk, a fundraiser for youth literacy, Pride club meetings, Character Run sign ups, amazing conversations with gym members and clients, cookies to support CF fundraising and so many other moments of connection.
This is your reminder of the value community brings and holds. It truly is priceless. Find ways to join it and create it. Encourage your kids to grow in community. We need their energy and ideas… and they need those support networks that allow them to evolve and push them forward!
Keep showing up, being vulnerable and occasionally being gushy about the people around you💕☺️
