It is not normal to experience pain, clicking or locking in the jaw with opening and closing. You may be living with this without realizing there is help.

TMJ can create stress and tension in the whole system - it can create neck or low back pain and affect your breathing, chewing, speaking, swallowing or your digestion as well. Furthermore, dysfunction in the jaw could be having an effect on your posture and contributing to pain in other areas. It can work both ways -- if the jaw is the main problem, your neck, back and shoulders are adapting around it, but in can be that the jaw is adapting to tension somewhere else in the body.

By conducting an assessment, we can figure out a treatment plan to get it sorted out.

The Neutral, the Still Point is a concept that Osteopathic treatment encourages. It is a pause, a shift, a reset. It is a balance point which leaves a feeling of relaxation, almost like you are floating.

I a grateful to have spent 4 days with this lovely group completing Phase 2 of the Biodynamics series, based on the teaching of James Jealous, DO.

It is a process of learning about the fluid body, which means we see the body as physiology, instead of anatomy and how the physiology can influence function.

The ideal fluid body is seen in infants as a soft, luminous energy. Over time life experiences can create distortions in the fluid body and that affects how we feel and function because the distortions become separate from the whole and the body is unable to function as an ideal unit.

It is a journey of self healing and creating awareness and also of service to help others find a sense of harmony in their body and ease of motion without tension.
