Hello all!
I am in the final push to complete my Advanced Practitioner paperwork for Ortho-Bionomy.
I have a fairly busy summer ahead of me - 3 classes now completed ... and Visceral, as well as Fluid, Fascia & Lymphatics, still ahead.
With that said, I am also wanting to practice/refresh some of my skills ... and offering a number of "get one free" to anyone who has already had a session with me ... in exchange for your feedback.
Please send me a text or direct message me if you have time to get together in the next few months.
Thank you! Be well!!!
Christine

3 in 6!

Three Ortho-Bionomy classes in the past six weeks! Self-care, Isometrics, and Postural Re-education and Post techniques.

My brain is full and my body is still processing 🌞 If anything sticks I should have a few new tools in my toolbelt to share 🤣
Road trips to Kamloops and Edmonton behind me ... next trips Kelowna and Delta.
Also 3 down ... 3 to go ... going to be a busy summer! Adding in a visceral class and fluid, fascia and lymphatics.

***

I am hoping to organizing more classes in town ... I really appreciated having an instructor come to town to teach Self-Care in April ... and hope to do another one next year ... as well as an Equine class.

Please direct message me if you would like to be added to my contact list for upcoming courses.

Be well!
Christine

Heading out tomorrow to BC for another Ortho-Bionomy course ... this time it is Isometrics and Isotonics. However my brain is still full processing the goodness of last weekend's Rural Roots Health Summit!

I think my favourite part of the weekend was seeing so many "littles"! Thanks to all the kids for coming and bringing their parents and grandparents.

Here's to more learning ... and more sharing at RRHS2 in 2027!

Ortho-Bionomy Self-Care Hinton April 2026

SELF-CARE teaches how to bring the body into greater balance and ease by gently exaggerating the patterns of the body and moving into comfort. By applying the principles of Ortho-Bionomy, individuals learn how to look after themselves, regain mobility and ease for tight or painful areas and relax deeply from within. Self-care incorporates muscular – skeletal work (Phase 4), isometrics, exploration of movement, Chapman’s points and subtle work (Phase 5 and 6). Self-care is useful for both clients and for maintaining essential ease for the practitioner. Participants also learn how to develop Ortho-Bionomy based self-care approaches for particular concerns.

Advanced Instructor Peggy Oud will be joining us in Hinton to facilitate both days of classes.

April 11 (1 day Self Care) 9:00 – 5:00 with a break for lunch
Focus on basic self-care from a primarily Phase 4 perspective … from pelvis and lower back to ribs, neck and shoulders. Let’s see where our exploration takes us.

April 11 & 12 (2 day) 9:00 – 5:00 with a break for lunch
On the 12th we will explore additional and more detailed self-care releases, while trying to accommodate specific requests from the students present. We will also provide suggestions on how to tailor “homework” for yourself, your interested family & friends, or clients.

Hello 🙂
If anyone is interested in Ortho-Bionomy - what it is about and how it can possibly compliment your practice (or help you care for your own wrists, back and shoulders, etc. while caring for others) - I am organizing a class in town May 31/June 1. This one will be on Postural Re-education and Post Techniques.
"Participants learn to recognize, evaluate and address their own postural habits, and those of others. The techniques presented help to re-pattern abnormal spinal curvatures and scoliosis. Post techniques include simple neuro-muscular exercises that are taught to the client to facilitate their ability to maintain and integrate the re-educated posture."
I plan to organize another class in the fall and am leaning toward Self Care ... as that was my first course in 2006 ... when my "identity" was Insurance Broker/Business owner. But I'm open to your input! Check out the classes at https://www.ortho-bionomy.ca/classes/class-descriptions/
Please send me a private message if you are interested. If you don't DM please text 780-817-0157.
I was just at the AGM in Lake Country ... and reconnected with the OB family ... as well as some of the instructors (including equine) we may be able to bring to this part of the country going forward.
Be well!
