Wellness Wednesday: Caregiver Tip

Sometimes, the most powerful support you can offer isn’t advice, it’s your presence.
As a caregiver, it’s easy to feel like you need to have all the answers. But the truth is, you don’t. Simply being there to listen with compassion, without judgment or the need to “fix” things, can mean everything to a young person who is struggling. Your time, patience, and willingness to listen helps build trust, connection, and healing.

Just showing up matters more than you think.

Wellness Wednesday BLOOPER REEL
This week’s reminder: it’s okay to make mistakes.

We all have moments where things don’t go as planned and that’s part of being human. You don’t have to be perfect to be making progress. Sometimes the little slip‑ups, awkward moments, and “bloopers” are where we learn, grow, and even find a bit of joy along the way.

Give yourself permission to try, stumble, and try again — you’re doing better than you think.

We’re building a space where youth can show up exactly as they are!
By supporting our Capital Campaign, you’re helping us create a welcoming environment where young people can access care, make mistakes, grow, and feel supported.

Thank You, Kamloops!

We’re so grateful to everyone who joined us last week at the Paramount Theatre for our Child & Youth Mental Health Movie Night, presented with the BC Interior Community Foundation. With over 200 people in attendance, it was an incredible evening of connection and community.

Child & Youth Mental Health Day is an important reminder that every young person deserves access to support, understanding, and safe spaces to be themselves. At Foundry Kamloops, this work is at the heart of everything we do, creating welcoming, accessible services where youth can feel seen, heard, and supported.

Thank you to everyone who came out to be part of this meaningful night and to our partners and sponsors for helping bring it to life.
