What a day!! We always feel so grateful and lucky to have such an incredible network of supporters for Julia, and the 9th annual Golf for Julia this past Sunday was no exception.

We had 142 golfers, 20 volunteers, 170 dinner guests and countless sponsors with us for an amazing day raising money not only for Julia but also for little Mateo. We are proud to share that $32,000 was raised Sunday and 20% of that will go directly to Mateo and his accessible van purchase 🙌🏻

Sunset Ranch did a wonderful job hosting us, DJ Haymaker was an awesome emcee and to all of our sponsors and volunteers, huge THANK YOU for making this event such a success.

We also announced Sunday night that this golf tournament would be our final one. It’s been such a fantastic run, almost 10 years of bringing together some pretty special people to raise funds for Julia’s journey with spinal cord recovery. This journey continues and we are excited to partake in some more local therapy in the coming months, reducing the need to travel to the US as often. We do however go back to Kentucky for a few weeks in December and will firm up our planning forward.

1 month countdown is officially on!!! There are 2 golf teams up for grabs! We are also looking for 2 more hole sponsors, 1 raffle sponsor ($500) and a bottled water sponsor. We're very happy to announce that a lovely family from the lower mainland will be the beneficiary of our "Golf for Julia Gives Back" donation, which will be 20% of total event proceeds. This little cutie is also excited to get involved with wheelchair basketball which we think is awesome!

6 year old Mateo has faced more challenges in his young life than most people will ever experience. He lives with Osteogenesis Imperfecta (brittle bone disease), Vascular Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, and severe spinal problems, resulting in over 100 fractures, numerous surgeries, countless hospital stays, and ongoing specialist appointments. Despite everything he has endured, he continues to meet each day with incredible courage, determination and a smile. The portion of funds raised at will go toward an accessible van that can safely transport Mateo and his power wheelchair to the many medical appointments, treatments, and hospital visits that are a regular part of his life. An accessible van will provide him with greater independence, improve his quality of life, and make it possible for the family to get him the care he needs safely and comfortably.

We are very happy to be a part of Mateo's journey and can't wait for you to meet him on August 30. ❤

Very happy to share that Coca Cola will be offering some hydration on the golf course this year, and a big thanks to SW Audio Visual sponsoring AV equipment at the dinner. We couldn't host this event without our amazing supporters. Everything is coming together and we're excited to see you on August 30.

Sponsorships still available:
Dinner Sponsor - this package includes 4 complimentary dinner tickets; the dinner space will be decorated in your organization colours (table linens and napkins), your logo will be printed on menus, placed on each table. Cost is $1500.
Raffle 2nd prize - this sponsor would cover the cost of our $500 Save On Foods gift cards which will be given out in our raffle draw.
