Volunteers Needed for McDonald's Coffee Day!

Looking for a simple way to make a meaningful difference in our community?

On September 17, McDonald's Coffee Day will support the Société Alzheimer Society of Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox & Addington, helping provide programs and services for individuals living with dementia and their care partners.

Volunteers are needed at several local McDonald's locations from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Even a few hours of your time can help support an important cause and raise awareness during World Alzheimer's Month.

Can't volunteer? You can still make a difference by stopping in for a coffee. McDonald's will donate 50¢ from every medium, large, and extra-large coffee and select McCafé beverages sold on September 17.

Each September, people unite from all corners of the world to raise awareness and to challenge the stigma that persists around Alzheimer’s disease and all types of dementia.

During World Alzheimer’s Month, we call on everyone, from individuals to large organizations, including every Alzheimer and dementia association globally, to support World Alzheimer’s Month by getting involved in the campaign.

In September this year, we will be advocating for greater awareness and understanding around dementia in a direct campaign that encourages people to ask about dementia.

Using the hashtag , we are seeking to change peoples’ perceptions and normalize asking questions and learning more about the condition and how it impacts over 55 million people living with dementia globally and their carers.

For individuals living with dementia and their families, changing routines can sometimes present challenges. A little extra patience, consistency, and understanding can go a long way in creating a sense of calm and reassurance.
