Back to the desk after a week-long adventure in Northern Saskatchewan! 🌾

This trip was all about harmony - some work and some play.

We headed to North Battleford to deliver Mental Health First Aid training, and once again I was reminded why I love bringing this work into different communities.

Different workplaces. Different perspectives. Great conversations, lots of laughs, and plenty of learning. 💚

And then we made time for the other important part of wellness - recharging! We fit in a stay at Manitou Springs to soak up the healing waters and slow things down a little.

Now we're back at the desk and looking ahead to a busy fall.

So, when are you bringing mental health literacy training to your workplace?

Your people are worth the investment.

📩 Let’s talk about what training might be the right fit for your team.

Another Mental Health First Aid training delivered in the community! 💚

There is something pretty special about bringing mental health training into workplaces and communities where people live, work and connect.

A huge thank you to the community of North Battleford for welcoming Prairie Willow Wellness Training. It was a privilege to spend the day learning, sharing experiences, asking questions and building confidence around supporting someone who may be struggling with their mental health.

Mental Health First Aid isn't about having all the answers. It's about knowing how to recognize when someone may need support, starting the conversation, and helping connect them with the right resources.

Every training session reminds me why this work matters so much. When more people have the knowledge and confidence to respond, we create communities where mental health is part of the conversation—not something we avoid.

Thank you, North Battleford, for being part of the conversation. 💚

“I don’t really need mental health training.”

I hear it.

Maybe you’re thinking…

👉 “I’m not a manager.”
👉 “I work in a small workplace—we all know each other.”
👉 “I wouldn’t know what to say anyway.”
👉 “I don’t have time for another training day.”
👉 “I’m not a mental health professional.”
👉 “What if someone actually tells me they’re struggling?”

And honestly?

Those are exactly the reasons to take Mental Health First Aid.

You don’t take first aid because you expect someone to get hurt.

You take it because "if" something happens, you want to know what to do.

Mental health is no different.

You don’t need to diagnose anyone.
You don’t need to have all the answers.
You don’t need to “fix” someone.

You just need to be willing to notice, listen, respond and help connect someone to support.
